Valleyfair to get new 2010 coaster?

I was a VF today, and while riding Renegade, after the first drop on the Buckel, I noticed some tools that might be for constructing a rollercoaster. As I looked around the park, I saw a little bit of a clearing by renegade. I noticed this on PowerTower/Wild Thing/Excalibur/Steel Venom.
I just checked the website, and found nothing on a new coaster. I also checked RCDB, and found nothing. This might JUST be me, but I just wanted to throw this out there.

Well there are rumors going areoung that we're supposed to get one in 2010.

I can't find the link to it, but you can see a bat of room for them to put it in, I'll edit it in.

If they added a coaster there, then it would be a huge year for Cedar Fair. There would be King's Dominion, Carowinds, most likely Cedar Point, and this.

Are they those things? Because those have been there since 2007 . . .

I really wouldn't want to see a new coaster right next to Renegade, I love the way it looks, all alone back in the woods. A new coaster would take away from what looks to be an amazing GCI.

Is that picture from google earth? If so they never update pictures, that could just be an old picture or something, maybe the tools are there now

I mean yes, it'll be the parks 35th anniversary, but with KD getting a giga, carowinds getting a hyper, and cedar point getting something massive most likely, the most we'll see is a waterpark expansion & maybe a new flat.

Well...2 weeks late...+a few days, but I saw MORE supports like that than before. I'M CONVINCED we're getting something.

I'm not. Is there any major land clearing like KD, Carowinds, or CP? And those things in the picture (which is what I'm assuming you are talking about) don't look like coaster supports at all. Plus this place is the only place on the web that I have heard of anything about soemthing new for Valleyfair. I'm almost certain VF is not getting a new coaster for 2010.

Good God - For the last time, we aren't getting a coaster next year.
Those "Things" you're seeing aren't supports. Those are storage containers for the rides during the offseason.

Picture from July 24th. I'm going Sunday, I'll take a look to further confirm we're getting another Soak City upgrade.

I see a little bit of a clearing when I'm at the top of the lift hill, but no construction things.

I do know they aren't supports for a rollercoaster, I just though that it might be possible it was for a crain. And is that your picture? if so, how'd you get to go there?

I'm sorry, but I'm new to the investigating of new roller coaster possibilities. A mod may close this thread.

The people that went to Coaster Craze got a behind the scenes tour. And even if there was a clearing, how the heck would people get back there. I've heard rumors about what's going to happen, and believe me, we're looking at the wrong side of the park bud.
