Most Impressive Build?

What is the single most impressive ride you have built? it doesn't have to be the greatest thing in the eyes of others, but instead what you feel is the most impressive thing you have built.

Please only say one model.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

I would have to say my TTD, though crappy in today's SSCoaster standard, was my most impressive build.

Probably N2O but like TJ said, it doesn't live up to the expectations of today.

HolzBlitz, it was my first decent coaster, my first completed coaster on SSC, and the first one built while listening to the members of SSC...

Re: Most Impressive Build?

Everyone probably thinks Thunderhawk was my best, but I was more impressed with Kaibutsu. Just a large flyer of a size I hadn't really seen before in Knex, plus in a compact space too.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

I'd have to say either Stealth or Falcon (sorry, can't decide). Stealth was my first good coaster and it had a nice launch and was smoother, but Falcon had a longer and more creative layout.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

I think mine would be Noxious. It was smooth, kept it's speed well, and was challenging for me to build.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

Ironman was my most impressive build. I set a goal (making the first tube flyer) and I accomplished it.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

Mine would be Fantasma. It's the only ride I actually drew blueprints for, and I followed them perfectly. It was also difficult for me to do all the overlaying track. The supports on the second half of the 0-g roll were extremely hard to build, and the train barely fit through the third turnaround. The launch also took a lot of tweaking as well.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

I would have to say mine is Wrath. That coaster took me about 4-5 months to make, and I would stay up to about 4AM still building. I put alot of hard work into that coaster.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

Currently, I would say Glacier. ~The Ngonigneoth~ will decimate it, though.

EDIT: v First I need to start building it, and won't have time until tomorrow. Sorry.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

You better get posting updates there bud

And as for mine, by far 20' Kingda Ka. I have a sweet spot for nitro but it unfortunately doesn't get the wow factor that KK did and still does (KK has 500K+ views on youtube, while nitro is sub 75K). It's also the first result on youtube when you search knex

Re: Most Impressive Build?

I would actually have to say Blindsided was my most impressive coaster because being only my second coaster, I made a pretty nice hyper, and I am extremely proud of it. Backdraft would be my best coaster overall though.

Re: Most Impressive Build?

*Bump*

Volcanic Doomfire is probably the first coaster that the 'wow' factor trumps the 'god damn problems!' factor.
