Alrighty, I have the time on my hands (finally!) to get this trip report over with. We started by driving from Portland To Medford, Ate at the In n' Out Burger there, and drove to Vallejo the next day. The drive itself on the first day was very cool, as the Oregon to California border is VERY visible. The trees virtually stopped on the state line! The next day, our drive to Vallejo was also very cool, as we were driving through the plains, and it felt as if we were in the Windows background. It got boring after a while so I decided to think of it as if we were in a zombie apocalypse and we were driving to see if anybody was alive, as the highways were empty. Eventually, we got to our hotel and got a sweet view of the park. (Courtyard Vallejo for all you who want to go)

A blueprint image has surface with the label Kings Island 2017 Project, with an overhead view of a roller coaster that appears to be wooden. The layout goes out and back, but not much else can be discerned from this particular view. But it seems for certain a new ride is coming in 2017! Who do you think will build it?
Kings Island last added a roller coaster in 2014 with the inverted design Banshee, the longest inverted roller coaster in the world. It is also home to the Beast, which has been the longest roller coaster in the world for over three decades. Diamondback soars above the park and has been thrilling riders since 2009 (and is one of the most famous K'NEX roller coasters ever built too).

Mako at SeaWorld Orlando has had a soft opening over much of the past week ahead of it's schedule June 10th grand opening (this upcoming Friday). Another new Orlando attraction, Reign of Kong, at Universal's Islands of Adventure, offered a team member preview this weekend.
A former staff member on mine back in the Florida Thrills & BGTGuide days rode both this weekend and had this to say on Twitter:
Thanks @JMuniz822 for the quote!

A ticket to Universal Orlando's theme parks, Islands of Adventure & Universal Studios Florida, will now cost you $169 if you walk up to the gate and get a ticket. A better deal can be had by buying tickets online at $155 a piece. Better value is achieved with multi-day tickets too. Two days at the parks should be plenty to see and do everything multiple times unless the parks are abnormally crowded.

The Incredible Hulk, a one of a kind Bolliger & Mabillard roller coaster that opened in 1999 at Islands of Adventure, is closed until 2016 as part of a refurbishment. Many pieces of track and the coaster's trains have been sent to the junk yard. What is going to replace the missing pieces?
