Pagode
Video

Description An icon in the world of Dutch amusement parks: Pagode. The Intamin Flying Island in the Efteling opened in 1987. Now, 28 years later, Dutch Details releases a K'NEX version of Pagode. A large 6 kilograms counterweight is used to aid in the lifting of the main boom and the temple itself. The ride operates automatically, the temple going up and down, while rotating all the while. When it lands on the station platform, it is automatically leveled and centered. Two stairs lead up to the platform, one for the entrance and one for the exit, giving the station an elegant look. For easy (dis)assembly, the temple is lifted, the main boom is disconnected and the connection between station platform and lifting mechanism is disconnected and folded onto the platform.
