Yes, the loop is supposed to look like that.Honestly that's the theme for this entire coaster. It was an attempt at uniqueness, at something that could never be done in real life, and at something that would stick in your mind. It worked for me at least.This is one of my favorite older creations. You can see bits and pieces of techniques used today like max crossties (nobody had gone without ladder connectors yet), and some of the supports have bases similar to those used with tubes. Even the support for the final element looks decidedly tube-like. I feel this is an overlooked coaster but all that matters is that I am happy with it, but one day I'd love to remake it and give it the modern K'Nex coaster treatment.
