Who knows. I have to finish it first! I've always wanted to display it somewhere kids might get inspired but after lots of searching have not found anywhere.

It's alive! The pacing is spot-on, looks like you got your trains sorted out.

Thanks very happy with the pacing myself.  I like it to just make each turn like an old woody.  Biggest advantage of building a model backwards is you know if it makes the next element it will make the rest of the course.  I still have not weighted the newly painted red trains I want to use on this ride but I am assuming if they are weighted and lubed the same as this train performance should be similar.  I ran the train through the course a dozen or so times and the dog got more and more excited each time.  I had to stop and put her upstairs before she tried to tackle the thing. :-)

I had to make the big first turn one granite higher than I planned, which means the lift hil is going to have to be at least nother granite high.  Not bad, all things considered.  The vertical scale of the model will be a little off but it is hard to manage speed on such a long course with knex trains.

Well, I'm glad that after all this time and moving, it seems to be working very nicely. The detail is incredible too.

All I could think of were the dogs from the film 'Up' while watching that! :P
This looks fantastic! Brilliant pacing and superb look: I just love how much track there is to this coaster :)
Can't wait to see this one finished!

Good to see you're still working on this. The pacing is spot on. I really like that the fences/catwalks have a different colour than the actual supports, it makes them stand out :).

I don't make many updates because I've been at this for so long and progress is slow. However! I have found times to tinker with Comet over the winter and am very close to having a full circuit working coaster! I completed the big first turn. It's a bit taller than it was but this is the height I need to make the next turn. I built the first drop almost all the way back to the lift. I've been testing and it works from where the top of the drop is now. Thats 2 granites higher than I had planned. I was hoping to keep the slope of the lift as low as possible and it is getting close to 45. I am not going to commit to finishing the lift until I am happy with testing. Currently disappointed I can not maintain momentum better in this first part of the coaster, Everything is very well supported and the structure is extremely solid.

Here's some pics. I'll try to get some test vids soon.

Wow, I remember looking at this so long ago. It is an amazing ride, I was so excited to see this when I saw it in the threads. Keep it up and take your time!

Think I found one spot to focus on.  This is flexing a lot more than I thought.  Second drop not he right in the vid You can't really see it with the naked eye but camera tells no lies.

Got some other test vids.  Train looks like it's going over the hill with the bend smoothly but i might reshape that with more banking.  I love the way the gopro picks up the sound.

Awesome to see this so close to being finished, and done so well. On a side note, I really like the sound too, especially in the last video. Almost sounds real!

I don't know if anyone still comes here but since this is where it started I have to announce it's finally finished!  I got close a few years ago and gave up because the scale of the big hills looked way off.... I am retired now and finally had time to redo it .  I split the coaster apart and extended it all another 2 feet, this resulted in rebuilding almost half of the existing structure and track.

It took 11 years to complete but I am happy with the results!  I've run it for hours now and it works flawlessly.  Next going to dust off an old Arduino to automate the motors.

Check my YouTube channel for some vids

11 years!  I thought my 4 year coaster was pushing the limits

So cool to see that you're still building, and congrats on retirement!  Lots of time for knex now!

The coaster itself is just perfect.  Like DDR said, the pacing is spot on.  Well worth the wait!
