I invite you to take a look at my latest Quick Pics. I want to try and complete the wheel this weekend.

He died, he died!
This morning it just kept on raining, which I really disliked, since I wanted to continue the full setup of GWOH 2.0. But then, after some time, it started raining less and less. My girlfriend and I started adding spokes and ring parts to the wheel and it became bigger and bigger. Then when we went a bit past the halfway point, we suddenly heard this noise and the wheel sagged a couple of centimeters. A true "oh shit!" moment, as we noticed how one of the four main pillars holding up the wheel couldn't hold the weight buckled under the load. Within about 10 seconds I knew there was no use in trying to fix things and slowly deconstruct. This was the moment that I decided to first and foremostly get my girlfriend away from the wheel, because she was right underneath part of the 40+ kilograms weighing wheel. From there, the wheel basically started leaning on itself (as the spokes are quite strong), slowly taking all the supporting pillars with it. I was really glad the wheel was kept in place by the pergola onto which it leaned. When it finally stabilized in a half-collapsed state, I got my dad to come and have a look at the situation, which was more interesting than it was a shame, really. I had already given in to the fact that this project would be cancelled through this and I didn't mind really. This really was the limit and my K'NEX couldn't cope with the insane weight. Could it have been avoided? Yeah, probably. But that would've required more engineering hours that I had time to put into this. All in all this makes it easier to decide to not do away with Pegasus. A shame for the exposition that wanted both Pegasus and GWOH 2.0, but really, this is going to save me a lot of trouble (except for deconstructing all these GWOH 2.0 parts). And less models to move when I do move houses again.

Oh, snap! So the A-frame supports failed first? It blows my mind that the axle was able to withstand all that weight.

It's a shame, but I know you wont sit back and take it, Gump!
I look forward to seeing how you finally get this badboy together

Actually I am disassembling everything over the days and getting ready for a new project. Not long after the collapse (of the A-frame indeed), I got enthusiastic about trying something different.
