At the moment I'm rebuilding Six Flags New England's Wicked Cyclone out of K'nex. I've already done the Chainlift and parts of the station.

I like it so far, but you're going to have to make the drop a little bit higher or buy some more pieces dont ya think? The layout is pretty long and youre going to need tons of speed and a sturdy track espically using a VV three car trina to make this work. Yout may want to straighten out the lift a bit or use a spine for the ride after the lift hill to save speed and height.

Whilst I do admire your ambition, I do believe you'd be much better off just going custom instead! Even if you had enough speed and pieces to complete the layout, you'd end up sacrificing quality for quantity. As IOA geek pointed out, Wicked Cyclone is long, and I mean really long, with no second lift hill to break it up, and even with boosters, I'm not sure our more experienced micro builders on the site could pull it off to be honest! Trying to do a recreation of this size could just lead to frustration - and we don't want that to happen to you!
If you choose to make a custom RMC instead, you can concentrate more per unit of track and tailor your elements to the speed you've got left. That's the best, and most enjoyable way, of improving your builds so you can be more ambitious in the future

Haha that's true. But don't come crying to me if it doesn't work out
If you're really motivated to do it, then you might as well have a go! I suppose you can always resort to custom later on if you change your mind.
Good luck!

I now have christmas holiday and so now I have plenty of time to continue working on Wicked Cyclone. I've done the first drop and the first overbanked turn. I also made a test run and it worked perfectly.

I would make more attachments to the spine, but otherwise it looks good so far!

Do you mean track to spine or spine to structure?

oh sorry, I would make more attachments to the track and spine, it really only needs it on the overbank though. Also if the track is shaking left to right then maybe use yellow connectors (the right angle ones) to connect the spine to the track or even those little connectors that are used in the Supernova blast set http://www.knex.com/...n-rodconnector/ . Also make sure that you are making that overbank as tall as it can be!

I´ll look what I can do. From the speed I can actually place the banked turn more up.

I completed trackwork till after the first roll. I also made Test runs with 3 & 6 car trains and I have decided which one I'll take, the 3 car train! Here is a test Video:

That looks great! The only thing I don't like is the pacing, I know it's because of speed loss but it would be better if the first launch was on the ground instead of in the air.

UPDATE!!
I've completed trackwork today, but I have a problem! The car doesn't has enough speed to go around the last corner! Up to the station I'll be adding some chains, but there aren't curved chains!
At some points I'll be removing some useless structure, that the coaster looks better. And the station also needs to be done.

I added the chain for the station, a small station building, done some track modifications, mostly on the last turn and added a pushing motor, which pushes the car on the chain lift up the station.
But the BIG NEWS are: it's finally making laps without that I have to push the car somewhere!

You finished that pretty quick! But I think you should go around and try reinforcing things and and maybe making the shaping a little bit better ( I see some parts that are banking outward like in the second photo), but otherwise it looks great!
