I'm starting a new rollercoaster in my room. It'll be a lot smaller, but it will implement some new ideas I've had for a while. It's inspired by the old Arrow Mine Train concept, and I expect it to be heavily themed.

Ooh. I like the custom carts!

Is that an octagon shaped station platform? Nice. I've been wanting to do that but never got around to it. I'm liking what I see so far, and the cars don't look too bad, either. ;)

I'm not done building yet.

A Chaos ride that's heavily themed!?! I've never seen that before. Love those cars though. Every little detail matters especially for mine trains where scenery is such a major element. I look forward to seeing where you go with this.

Quick update: the lift structure is basically done, as is the meandering path to said lift. I'm taking a lot of inspiration from Gold Rusher (at SFMM) for this coaster.

I like it so far. The lift feels a bit large for a mine train though, are you gonna plan on having multiple lifts similar to many real-life mine trains?

It will most likely have a second lift (if I have space to add it with all the theming). And the current lift won't look so big once everything is said and done. The first drop is complete. Enjoy it now, because it will eventually be completely covered.

You may want to out some diagonal rods in between the red rods on that turn and support to make that area stronger to save some speed from the custom cars.

I still read the construction sub a few times a week, don't find much to comment on though....

I'm definitely gonna beef up the supports under that first drop. But right now I'm also working backwards from the station. Here's the coaster's final element - a helix.

Looks great so far, just smooth out those sharp spots on the helix I cant tell. I think blue middle tubing would look cool on this coaster and do the trick to smoothing the track out more!

Love the custom trains. That's an area I'm shocked that hasn't been explored much over the history of the site. Most attempts have failed.

I feel like the prelift section is a bit too smooth, Usually mine train coasters have small hills and such on prelifts.

But the helix feels very mine train-y. Good job on that!

Worked a little more on it. The way this build is going, the track work should be done pretty quickly now, but it will look kind of rough and unsupported in spots. Then, once I can get the train to complete a circuit, I will strengthen everything and add supports everywhere as I incorporate the theming.

In the first picture on the bottom right, you can kind of see where the 2nd lift is going to go.

Is it just me, or is there a small dip in the lift hill? It's not too noticeable and it might be fixed with the addition of more supports, but I thought it would be a good thing to point out, for aesthetics and all.

Ya I see the dip in the lift hill too, I would suggest adding some gray rods to strengthen the lift track up. I like the addition of the track you added to the layout too!

Let's be honest though. Who doesn't love a crazy Chaos build? This is just as imaginative as always.

I'm making some more progress thanks to Christmas time off. Here's some twisty turny bits that will be mostly covered, followed by a drop out of a (future) tunnel, down back into a tunnel. I'm putting off fixing the lift bumps until the track underneath the lift is finished.
