Doesn't look like you've weighted the cars with anything and I don't know what you oiled it with but they still sound pretty noisy. I feel like, with a bit of tinkering, it could work and then you wouldn't have to start all over again with something else. The speed loss does seem to be pretty extreme for what it is and it's definitely something to figure out early on if you want to get the best out of the rest of your projects. Improving with every project though
