While browsing the toy section at Walmart yesterday, a KNEX micro coaster's box caught my attention. The model was using a track spine like builders have on here for years. Did KNEX finally figure out it is better way to build?

Here is the link to the model: https://www.knex.com...er-building-set

You might be onto something there, Sire. Now they need to work on their lack of TTS connections. (BTW, I didn't know Knex had an app.)

I'm not done building yet.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've taken some hints from SSC. Or even YouTube (since almost all the coasters on there originated here as well). I noticed they also have a coaster called Clock Work, though that's probably just a coincidence.

This is actually far from their first VV coaster set with a spine. I actually got one of two sets for Christmas four years ago that included a spine called the Supernova Blast Coaster. I think that was one of their first sets they made that used a spine, and they've also made some afterwards where the flexi rods for the spine were permanently bent into specific shapes (I believe those are the grey rods that make up about half of the flexi rods in that set). I personally don't like the idea of using flexi rods that are permanently bent into shape since its almost like just using a weak piece of metal for your spine...

That's the spine I use! Wouldn't be surprised if K'nex was using ideas from the site.

They've definitely acknowledged our existence in the past, is it out of the question to assume they took some "inspiration"?

It's not like we have any legal recourse, and if anything it's probably a positive.. (as much as you can call any of K'nex's recent life positive anyway..)
