If you are unsure about a patent please flag the post so an admin or mod will look at it.
Note that any of the patents made are not so you can bitch at people when they use them and claim that it is yours. Patents are merely there so people can get inspiration for things they would have never thought of. The things that are posted here are free to use. Of course it would be very much appreciated if they would give the creator any kind of credit. Just a little word in your building process saying (E.G.)"I am using <username's> tiredrive system" is good enough for credit.
Any posts that are not a patent will be deleted.

Automatic on/off motor switch
Company: SteelWay Inventions
This switch is the one and only mechanism that automatically turns on an SS motor. An SS train hits a switch which turns on a motor. A rotating arm then spins around and hits the switch in the other direction to turn it off.
A tutorial can be seen here.

By- Insane Rides
An SS car with no wheels and a wooden bottom floats on water in half of a PVC or other such tube. A pump is used to bring water to the top of the ride, where gravity takes over. The pipes are supported with either box supports with branching diagonal rods (as seen in diagram) or radii supports curving around the pipe, which is then box supported. This patent is only for the track system.
Here is a poorly drawn document.

Using the basic principals of the MS Non-inverting loop, and mixing with a Immelman. The loop parts turns to the side while keeping a constant radius. At the top the banking is approx. 0-45*. It is then followed by a drop where the normal twist would be.

The design of these flyer cars is unique in the sense that they accomplish a task that has not yet been achieved in a very simple fashion. The cars unlock when they enter the station and re-lock while they exit so they won't come open in high force elements. The vid explains:

This is an automatic switch that turns the Terrain Trekker motor on and off and turns itself off. THe train triggers it, and the mechanism does the rest.
(I must give credit to RWT for the design of the original switch, which I modified.)

This device can be used to film moving shots of k'nex roller coasters. A car which holds a video camera hangs from a string which is strung between two objects. The car coasts down the string to film moving shots.

What makes these cars different is the uncontrolled spinning motion. After the cars climb up the lift hill they're released to spin freely for the duration of the ride. The result should be a totally unique ride experience. These cars should add a unique twist to any traditional K'nex roller coaster.

From the wheel things, the strings travel down to these fixed wheels. Two larger wheels sit on these strings, with two smaller wheels attached to the same rod. Those wheels have string tied to them which lowers the rod, raising the train.
That string travels down to two more wheels which redirect the string towards the base of the lift where the motor is.
If you can see in this picture, the gear is off to the side of the other gear. When the train is on the lift, an automatic switch will pull the gear inline with the other gear rotating the rod. After the train has dropped, the switch will push the gear to the left, allowing the catch car to drop back down to the station.
Here's where the wheel's lower to right before the train reaches the crest.
And a video...
The string is attached to the front car because I don't have a catch car built yet.

This is a chain tentioner. It helps on drill lifts so the chain can be as loose or tight as it needs to be. I used this on the drill lift of one of my coasters, and after I put it on, the chain stopped snaping.
