Here are some pre-production pictures of the new Maverick Statix. These and TTD trains will be at the park for sale in August.

Those are looking great. I'll probably buy one when I see them in Maverick's giftshop.

You guys still sell Hydra and Talon Trains? I didn't see them anywhere yesterday.

They should have Hydra since we just sent them last week. No more Talons until we redesign the inverted trains to make them more durable and easier to assemble.

You guys should really make some working Intamin style trains. That would be sick.

And I will most likely pick one of these up the next time I go.

This statix does not work, the track is smaller then B&M CD track therefore impossible to make it work on the track. And if you put the B&M wheel set it will look akward (sp?) because the train is much narrower.

These are purely static....they do not run. They are souvenirs sold only through the park. The parks set the pricing so I am not sure how much they cost. All I know is that they are selling out quicker than we can supply them up to this point.

Who took away my 700TH post sign? Sigh, that stinks. You would think you can make them work. Give it a try. The customer/Customer's are always right:tmbs

Get one and go for it! If you can change out the wheels with the metal wheels from one of our other kits and have it work, I will give you a $500 Dragon kit. Free.

Hahahahahaha!

I'm pretty sure he's serious when he says it's impossible.

All I know is that they are selling out quicker than we can supply them up to this point.

I can see why. They're small, not too expensive, and make a wonderful souvenir. They're no doubt one of the best products I've seen in an amusement park.

well, it isn't entirely impossible to make a non working statix work.

But 95% of the people buying them are buying them for the memory of an awesome time they had and dont even care that they run or not...

AT KI half of the people I talk to don't believe me when I say that the Diamondback train have the ability to run on model coaster track. I need to get with the managers at the gift shops and school them on CD I guess. That way their employees can say... "If you go to this website, you can buy wheels and track to make this train run."

But anyway, I am happy to see the statix line doing so well. I cant wait to get my Dragster and Maverick trains.

I looked all over Hydra's gift shop and didn't see anything. Only thing I saw in the main gift shop was a SS.

Anyone have pricing on one of these at a Cedar Fair park? They were $32.99 each at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

There weren't any in Maverick's gift shop when I went a few weeks ago, and I didn't see any in any other gift shops around the park.

EDIT: Oh duh, they're in the shops in August.

The only statix CP has is Millennium Force, and it's $34.99:

Millennium Force Train Replica

I don't know about other CF parks though.

I'm going to Cedar Point sometime near the end of the month, is there a possibility that they will have them?

No, it won't be until mid to late August. I'm sure you can order online.
