Website is up, and first update is done. I gave up on making my own designed
webpage, so i just used Freewebs again, I was gonna try MS Frontpage, but too much
of a hassle.
Anyways, station and lift are done, next update will be in 2
weeks when I get the tree.
MAKE SURE TO CLICK ON Update

end of the ride, but I'm gonna shoot for a big loop, half loop and a corkscrew, the
first part of the ride is gonna be more like matterhorn/space mountain, with lots of
turns in and out of the tree

before. Can't wait to see the finished production. About how many sets do you
estimate to use on this model?

Last year I had a decent amount of track left over but i ran out of connectors. What
I'm mostly worried about is running out of height and speed, not track. I know I
have plenty of that for this year

idea how to make them return to full and upright position

and stick on the other side if you were to manage to move the upright pole or make it
so it goes around the pole then it might not get caught.

Yeah those are some great
brakes you came up with, I've weighted them down with washers but they still
get stuck when they are down, any idea how to make them return to full and upright
position
piece on, the black two slot connector that is part of object "B" on the blue
rod in the picture goes between the white connectors, make sure it's in the same
direction as in the picture, this is supposed to keep the white connectors pushed apart
so the brakes do not get stuck. Hope that helped.

build the supports for this coaster? Do you actually build supports through the tree
branches out of K'NEX or are the tree branches strong enough to hold the
track? If you had a fake tree, you could have this whole thing built in no time!

try to use the branches to support more toward the top, and also to create supports
that somehow latch or hook into the trunk of the tree. Toward the bottom will be
where the inversions are and those will use typical K'NEX supports. I might also
try to use some other type of support for the top sections, maybe using PVC thin pipe,
with some sort of base. My uncle's a contractor so he's gonna help me out
with supporting it.

Some Good & Bad
News
Good News: Picked up the tree on Friday night, and started
trackwork. By Saturday morning 3 sections passing through the tree were complete.
By Saturday night, another section was added including a curved drop into a custom
height loop (bigger than the original model). That's where I'm at now, the
track layout is 4/5 done, all that's left is a straightaway under the tree and
hopefully, pieces permitting, a helix up into the brake run.
Bad News:
I'm running out of track, more specifically green flex-rods, which ultimately
means the loop will be the only inversion.
Also if you have noticed there is
no link on this post, that's because for the past 2 days Freewebs is down, and I
can't access my site to post updates. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
I'll let you know when the site is back up and the photo update is done.
