Zorn, maker of some classic wooden roller coasters like Woodchip Racers and Bull's Eye, is back at it with the apply named Colossal Racer, his biggest roller coaster yet. These classic style racers start with a lift hill over seven feet tall and race through an out and back layout before returning to the station.

Alrighty, I have the time on my hands (finally!) to get this trip report over with. We started by driving from Portland To Medford, Ate at the In n' Out Burger there, and drove to Vallejo the next day. The drive itself on the first day was very cool, as the Oregon to California border is VERY visible. The trees virtually stopped on the state line! The next day, our drive to Vallejo was also very cool, as we were driving through the plains, and it felt as if we were in the Windows background. It got boring after a while so I decided to think of it as if we were in a zombie apocalypse and we were driving to see if anybody was alive, as the highways were empty. Eventually, we got to our hotel and got a sweet view of the park. (Courtyard Vallejo for all you who want to go)

For the first time, the Expert Panel has been used to determine the winner of the 2016 Summer Heat contest.
The score uses the weighted average of the Expert Panel's design, smoothness, creativity, and overall ratings for each model plus the weighted average of the community rating to give an Expert Panel score from 0 to 10.

We have four awesome entries into the Summer Heat contest this year. They need your ratings to factor into the overall decision and trigger which models will reach the Expert Panel! Only those models with a rating of 75% or more will do so! To see the entries, visit the official contest page. You can also see the current rating and number of ratings.
