In the making for 4 years, this model has managed to stay in one piece through 3 moves and has reached completion.
Inspired by a model by Greg Nuse, I wanted to have a model where the belt-to-boom ratio was accurate to real life.
All model Zippers I've seen, be it LEGO, K'Nex or even professional model kits have had slow moving belts that didn't toss carriages over the sides of the boom.
It took 4 years of pain to develop a model and system that could turn all of that weight without derailments or strain on the motor.
It is capable of being turned by a regular K'Nex motor, but for better control, I use a train transformer and a 12V RC car motor.
