One thing that I have noticed in the construction

part of these forums is that people a lot of times post a topic saying they are building a

coaster and never put pics up....

I haven't finalized this with the staff,

but I think it would help these forums a lot if we could follow a few rules about posting

construction stuff.....

1. Don't go put a post in the Upcoming models

forum saying "go check out the construction topic" The upcoming models

forum is supposed to be where you talk about a model you plan on making. In that

forum post things like plans, and ideas....

2. Don't start a construction

topic without pictures. This rule is somewhat based off the RCT Station rule

implemented in the park construction part of the forums. There are a lot of topics in

this forum that has a lotta talk and no pictures. This gets pretty frustrating to me....

3. Don't post "That's cool!" not only is that

spam, it dosen't really help out the creator on how to make his/her model better.

So post helpfull comments such as "why don't you do this *insert thing

here*" Also don't post "Thats the worlds greatest looking coaster

ever!!!11!!1" that gets annoying....

4.

Don't upload insanly huge pictures! 1mb or less! This is a

horible strain on bandwidth and causes the amount of money it takes to keep this site

up go skyrocketing. So please take a moment to resize your pictures, then convert

them to JPGs to reduce the size of the file. Even BGTking posted a topic about this in

Site Anoucements.

I pruned all images that were uploaded before

5/1 plus other images that were other 1 MB in size. You people really need to learn

about image compression. No image should be over 200k, and no image should ever

be over 1 MB. Uploading is a priveldge that can be taken away. I haver already had

to do this for my RCT site.

We as the

staff will enforce this rule...

Remeber, you don't have to

follow these rules except for the file size limits. But it will make these forums a lot

better....

Come on people, please read this, I have only seen

that aobut 49 people have read this (when i posted this)

I know a lot of

people sometimes check back on a topic, so I am sure not everyone has read

this....

And I do hope these rules will be used.....

These aren't rules that are set in stone, so you

can start a construction topic....

If u dont have a digital camera: when u get the pics

developed, u can get the pics on a disk along with the prints. It may cost extra but

they're digital.

There are a lot of people on forums everywhere that

don't read the tos or rules of any kind before they sign up or at all. I prefer to

stick with rules, I don't believe you should take a test to be a member because

that my wee little friend would be rediculous and only you would be here :-D just

making a point. Hallalooya for the rule about having to put pics with construction

because it IS annoying when so many people say I'm building a SUF and then

they say it won't work or something and hav'nt put any pics at all!

it's even annoying when people say "somebody build a coaster with 15

loops and they are not even building a model. Those are just my views anyways, I just

needed to express them.

By the way, many thanks to Tyrant for pushing

me into joining these forums :-D
