There is one part I am afraid I am going to struggle to have enough to complete the build I am working on. So, I am willing to make a trade that should benefit all parties.

For those in the U.S.A. ONLY. I will trade you 1.5-2(depends on shipping weights) green or yellow(your choice) crossties for ever 1 black crosstie. If you pay shipping to me, I will pay shipping to you.

I know crossties are something everyone is always in need of, so here is an easy way for you to pick up some extras that match what you already have and get rid of the ones that are the odd ball colours from your bulk.

You can go look on ebay and buy a Storm Mountain set or a Shark run set or you could just find someone selling just black x ties, if no one is willing to sell them to you here. And FYI I don't have any black x ties.

Yes I know, I have done the above. I have a few shark and storm and also separate just black cross-ties from e-bay. But I also figured I could try this route.

Yea, besides no-one is going to trade. People want money for their knex. Most people do anyways.

you could always paint/spray paint your yellow/green x-ties black. plus you wouldn't give two ties for one! you just need to but the right spray paint/paint

I agree with ^. It would be a lot easier to spray paint them than to buy new ones while losing two for each one

You can read the thread about dyeing knex. I think is said that spray painting knex pieces would render them usless. So do not spray paint knex pieces. Also i think it said something about not dyeing crossties.

I have special paints and etc. I have tried painting the crossties with several types of paint and acetone sprays and the polymer does not bond well, and all of the tight spaces leave colour stand out. And Dyeing will mishap them and cause bumps in track and gauge changes.

Why not trade 2 for 1? My situation is not the same as yours. I am doing this as a display piece (not for just my personal usage). And I have more green/yellow crossties than I need for what I am trying to do, and they are easy for me to find online. The cost of buying the hard to find part versus a trade is much easier, and also nothing more than an offer for those that may be interested.

If you have black cross ties you are willing to part with for a monetary exchange instead. Please let me know. I am on e-bay constantly (3-4 time a day looking, and bidding on sets and singles that are within reason) and have searched all over the internet.
