So, more or less recently, over the summer, I have been getting on xbox trying to encourage my friends to do more stuff. And it turns out they have been... without me. I have quite a few "friends" in this group. Their names are David, Charlie, Jenia/Dima (twins I refer to as "the russians"), Tristian, Jonathan, Connor, William, and many others.

David, Charlie, Connor, and the Russians constantly make fun of me over xbox, and Jonathan, William, and Tristian never insult me. When its all of them, I'm usually the one they make fun of. When its just one or two of them, I'm their friend. I've been nice to them, but they never invite me to do stuff like see a movie or just to hang out. I'm even with them when they invite each other to do stuff over xbox. I ask if I can tag along and they always euphemistically say no.

The big problem for me is that I have been good friends with Jonathan, Tristian, and William since 6th grade. In 7th and 8th grade, my parents forced me to try looping-that is staying with the same failures of 120 kids/30 smart kids instead of being with my friends in groups with 90 smart people and 60 dumb people. I also have done drama stuff in my past which has taken me away from them during fall training for the winter high school season and therefore alienated me even more from them.

I really want to know what to do, and I don't want you to say get new friends. I don't want to be friends with the people that are making fun of me, but I do want to be friends with those that aren't making fun of me. The problem is they're all in the same clique at my school, which is the same group I've been hanging out with for 2 years of my high school career.

I really need your help.

I'd say to not be friends with the bullies, and be friends with your long-time friends.

Either ignore the folks you don't like, or say it spot on.

My friends shifted during my whole school career, mostly when I needed to go to another school. (primary - secondary (year 1-2) - secondary (year 3-6) - higher education - and now again)
I always had friends that I had fun with at school, sometimes outside school, but never someone as "two hands on one belly". So in short: I never leave home.

But that's enough whining about me, sometimes you need to go on.
And it's up to you to make the changes.

If they are mean to you just be a complete asshole to them. Think of all stuff that makes you angry and let it out on them. But keep it calm at the same time. EX. "you're ugly" ha, suuuure, i'm so ugly. Something along those lines. And if they talk back just tell them to shut up in a very annoying way. Also, if they tell you to calm down just smile and act as if you were joking.

Everything has gotten cleared up. It seemed that they just felt alienated from me. I am now better friends with them, and am in the process of switching cliques, which is really difficult Junior year. I also got a girlfriend.
