Good to hear it lives, it must take a while before the wear problems are reduced.

Worms gears are terribly inneficient. Wear is a huge problem with them. :(

Ickus, have you thought about custom motors? They may be something to slowly start investing in for the larger models.

I really wish, I had the time needed to truly get K-land to the point I want it to be. Unfortunately, the museum has had mroe pressing issues for me to take care of, and ect.

Night Fury is still currently undergoing some rebuilding, The ferris wheel did get an update to the drive wheels, and it is working great currently, Reaction (the shuttle coaster) and Revolution (the Zacspin) are under consideration to be removed from the park as they are currently SBNO. Hedgehog will receive a minor rebuild later this fall (raising the lift hill about 6-9 inches and then adjusting the course to the lift raise (this should drastically reduce maintenance)) The woody will probably be the first coaster to receive some custom motors, I have been playing with some design concepts throughout the summer, I am not pleased yet with anything, but I do have ideas I'm working on.
Flatrides, require the least amount of tending to, so I am looking to possible build 2-4 flatrides to take the space the coasters if I take them out.

And now this is running awesome since this rebuild happened

WOW a lot has happened, my life has been a whirlwind, and now it is time to do some major overhauls to K-Land. The Park has been under constant maintenance that I have not been able to keep up with. I have been very disappointing and frustrated with the amount of SBNO time many of the rides have undergone. So the time has come to update the rides and to focus on making things as efficient as possible.

The first major change, it that I put all of the ride motors onto a push button. Press the button and the park comes to life for about 5 minutes, this significantly cuts down on the wear and tear, instead of 30-60 minutes of run time for any given group, visiting the museum, the rides run 5-15 minutes for a visiting group (only when they are viewing the rides, instead of when me or a guide turns the room on or off)

Next, up are the rides themselves. The Ferris Wheel is getting more love, I have done an adjustment to the hub and also, did some major cleaning of the outside of the wheel and drive wheels (hopefully this should get me another 6-12 months of operation)

Next, I am starting to look at ways to make the more reliable rides, become much better at running. The first ride on the list is Hedgehog, I am giving it an overhaul to keep the cars from stalling, To see the progress on individual rides, check out their threads. I am

Finally, I will end this post with some pictures. The skyline of K-Land was forever changed today.

Breaking News:

K-Land is under Major Konstruction.

Park officials did release that the Removal of Revolution was required.  After several lives have been lost on the ride do to track stability issues. "The removal of Revolution is a said loss to the park, but when reviewing the rider ship after the issues, we decided it was best to remove the ride in order for the Park to move forward towards bigger and better future rides."-Head of Park Ride Operations.
