Today is Thursday and since we have off tomorrow, we're planning a trip to Cedar Point's Halloweekends. We are driving on Friday (10-14-11), at the park all day Saturday (10-15-11) and coming home on Sunday (10-16-11) I will be bringing my camera along and hoping to get vivid photos and a good YouTube video depicting the events that day.

We are staying at Lighthouse Point, which is a small cabin village at the north point of the park. It will be 6-7 people, depending on who all is going. The number of people is why we are staying there. We had gone at an earlier date to sandcastle suites with 6 people before, and since it was pricey, we decided to rough it with a nice little cabin :)

Cedar Point is my favorite park, hence my name CEDARS... I hope to bring you back a very detailed and picturesque trip report. There will not be much of a computer in our cabin, so therefore I will not be able to "Update" you per say until I get home on Sunday.

Thanks for viewing my trip report and I will see you all on Sunday :D

(DP) Back from an amazing trip and I am REALLY excited to tell you all about it.

I have a final video in the works, trust me, it's going to amazing but I decided to give you guys a bunch of (blurry) pictures first :)

Coming in, as always, there's a nice view of the skyline with the coasters peeking out from the horizon.

After a scenic drive on the lake, we got to Cedar Point Boulevard (I believe it's called) To take some nice pictures of the illuminated coasters standing tall before us.

After driving for quite some time, we reached our wonderful (more or less) cabin at lighthouse point!

I slept on an air mattress since all the beds were taken, there was an upper loft area that you could not stand in, it was about 3.5 ft from the loft floor to the roof of the cabin, and two people slept there... however I slept at the foot of the bed on the right in the above picture. Lighthouse point was surprisingly scenic. it had a little pond and quite a few shrubbery and trees to provide privacy. Pretty, isn't it?

We went to the park after this, however I did not bring my camera. The shots wouldn't have been any good because it was quite dark anywhere you went in the park. All the lights were covered in red film, making it eerier and darker for Halloweekends. After a wonderful night sleep, we woke up the next day, ready to ride! We ate breakfast at "Breakwater Café" where we saw on the weather report that there was a wind advisory until 6 PM. This delayed a lot of rides and completely closed Top Thrill Dragster and Wind Seeker (ironic, eh?) we waited in line for Mantis, and saw it run quite a few times.

After we got off, my mother was waiting in line for Millennium Force for me and my sister, we took over and my mom and the others (friends of ours) went off to ride other things. My sister and I waited for front seat and were blown away (literally and metaphorically) by how intense it was. Then we took a nice roam around the park to see the decorations and other rides.

This is an ogre that slept then woke up and talked every two minutes. But only later at night.

We were going to wait in line for Maverick, seeing as it's my favorite roller coaster ever, but the wait time was almost 3 hours, so we decided not to. yet ;)
Staying in Frontier Town, we rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and snapped a few good pictures.

Continuing on through the park... (TTD fascinated me....)

Then we went back to the cabin to charge my camera, and take a little cat nap.... afterwards, the sun started to go down, and the ghouls started to come out >: D

A quick ride on Gemini, then straight to Maverick, to wait in line forever.... (1hr 15 min)

Then off to the haunts to end the night!

This guy was in front of Blood on the Bayou. He was just saying stuff like "step right up! Take on the haunted bayou!" He spoke in a Louisianan accent and he made us all laugh out loud. Every time someone had a cell phone he said "That's just Ig'nant! (Ignorant)" haha, he also made fun of men with pink sweatshirts :)

Can't visit Cedar Point without stopping at Snoopy Boutique! Stop in next time you're there!!! :D

That was my trip in a nutshell, the cabins are amazing, and anything you need, you can call the desk and they deliver to you (i.e. washcloths, towels, bedding, coffee). The best haunted attractions we went to were "Cornstalkers" and "Erie Estate". And the best outdoor walk through was CarnEvil. We had a fun time, as always I recommend going to Cedar Point any time of year (that they're open) and stay in an on-site accommodation like Lighthouse Point (where we stayed), but you can also stay at Breakers or Sandcastle Suites. Hope you liked my trip report, and stay tuned for the video!!! :)
