In order to make these SSCoasters Tee-shirts, we need to decide on a logo that would fit SSCoasters the best, and this is where a contest will come into play.

Objective- Design a logo that best represents SSCoasters.net that looks nice and presentable on a tee-shirt that will be worn by (active) members.

The deadline for contest entrees is May 11th, 2012.

A little heads up- You can choose to make the logo on a shirt or off of the shirt, whichever works best for you, but in the end if your design wins, you will have to have a file that includes jut the logo and nothing more (this means the logo not on the shirt).

So pretty much just post a picture of the logo you've made in here, and from there, voting for the final logo will then start.

If one particular design is chosen and it was created with raster graphics, I will first vectorize it before continuing.

When posting the T-shirt logo, please include pictures of it on a black shirt and on different shades of green shirts.

Here's my design like I posted in the original thread, but revised and better.

You can see on the front, it's from our logo, the "SSC" portion, with a bit of the purple underline of the track, to make it a bit interesting.




And on the back is our logo, prominently displayed.

I think the green letters will be barely visible on a green T-Shirt. I think shouldn't chose green. I prefer black.

In that case, let's wait until next year's contest.

With all the kidding aside, I think that your idea would pose too complex and expensive for an SSC t-shirt.

I'm hoping Kyle sees this thread anytime soon. Otherwise I'll have to confront him with t his.

I think the black shirt looks the best by far. A dark, forest green might be nice too, so that the letters would still be readable.

Curious, how long will voting be? Depending on when the voting is over and the logo is chosen, I'd like to get a shirt for my upcoming expo on May 23rd, if possible.

I doubt I'll be producing the shirts by then TBH. It will take a bit of time and a bit of money (which I'm pretty short on right now), so give it a bit of time to work out properly.

I do have an idea for you though- For your upcoming expo, you can print out the SSC logo that we vote on, cut it out, and tape it on your shirt.

^Hahahahaha. A little, well, ghetto-ish, but it could do. Might just print out the SSCoasters.net logo and put it with my coaster. Either I'm displaying some sort of SSC-ness on me or the coaster, and I can tell you it's not going to be me.
