Sorry, but no. The number 10 was chosen for the 10 year anniversary, so we expect 10 in total.

I really want to see a coaster like Wild Train built for this.......

I count 8 moments of airtime, not hard to extend the layout. Plus it's amazingly small.

It just so happens that blue streak has ten moments of airtime. Could I recreate it for this contest?

Sounds like a good plan, Andrew!

That's what coaster i'm building right now! :P I just didn't know it had 10 moments of airtime. Since I know it does, I'll probably enter that if I can finish it. I'm done with most of the lift stucture.

I'm curious when you say air time, that does include ejector time on different elements, correct? Also, I do have to say I love seeing all these woodies, but really am happy to be making a coaster no one here has probably thought of yet.... Should be interesting!

Would my woodie I'm currently building be considered a "family" coaster?

So I have a question. Does the drop also counts as airtime. I thought that the airtime we needed to use was only the airtime that apears on camelback's.

I hope you haven't thought of what I have thought of.

Ejector time is an obvious kind of air time. I wonder why you would ask this question.

Yes, I would consider this a family coaster.

So I have a question. Does the drop also counts as airtime. I thought that the airtime we needed to use was only the airtime that apears on camelback's.

This is a questionable situation. Steep drops always provide air time, but are usually a trademark of a non-family coaster, a coaster that is aimed to thrill. Drops that aren't as steep as the ones found on thrill coasters usually don't really provide air time in the front of the train, but they surely can in the back. When entering your roller coaster, you are asked to provide us with a list of the 10 air time moments and the first drop is up to you to include or not. Your drop is gradual enough to exclude it from the air time list. In case you miss out on one air time moment, you can choose to include it, though. In this case, you argument why it should be included in your list.

It's not to make myself sound stupid. I'm just making sure by "air time", it can include other things than just air hills.

Well, this should be interesting, especially since I won't be making a construction thread. Keeps you all on your toes about my coaster. Muwhahahahahaaaaa....

One last question, will this contest be purely based on family/10 air hills, or will there be more to it than just that when it comes to naming a winner? Like, will a special "element" help you in any shape or form?

The air time moments are mandatory, whatever else you do with your lay-out is to make a difference between the models, so yes it will help you win the contest if you make it special.

5 for each is enough.

Would 10 for each be okay too?

To confirm what I said on MSN: for duelling / racer coasters, you can have either 10 air time moments per track or a total of 10 air time moments.

I'm thinking about doing a last ditch run at this. I'm just wondering though if it can be a recreation of a real family ride with 10 airtime moments because I have a particular coaster in mind with just that.
