^hehe, fancy talk
Gah, I'm so weird.
Many VV builders see awesome custom car tutorials and hurry and unscrew the tops of their cars. When they unscrew the front, the chaindog pops off. NO MORE WILL THIS HAPPEN. Well, it kinda will, but if you keep the spring and the chaindog together, you can fix it.
Shown below are the Spring, Chaindog, and topless Car.
Notice the groove in the back of the chaindog.
Put the spring on the right side of the chaindog, with the square part wrapping around the groove in the back of the chaindog. Like shown below.
Pick up the chaindog with your left hand right where the spring is, and push down on the spring with your thumb so that the straight part of the spring is sticking out like this (hehe, I have fat fingers).
Then put the chaindog back in the chaindog holder so the straight part is pointing the same direction as the front of the car. When you do this, use your right hand to grab onto the chaindog with your right hand underneath of the car, holding the chaindog while you put the top of the car back on.
I hope this helped you and saved you 30 minutes of frustration.
