I just went on one at a fair and studied how the ride worked. Each car has a shaft that has a tire on it. Partway around, there is a flat rail, that the tire for each car roll on and flips that car as it roll over the flat rail. I want to try that with knex and use the tires to do the same concept to flip round shaped cars as they slowly rotate around a central hub.
