Maarten joined my family on vacation in the Black Forest region and we already planned to go to Europapark this vacation. Besides, we would like to go to Holiday Park as well. Jogumpie recommended us to buy a Schönes Wochenende Ticket. With this ticket, you could pick a day in the weekend and you were able to travel by public transport as much as you want.
Holiday Park is 250 kilometers away from our campingsite which made the journey last more than four hours. So at 6:30 AM, our alarm went off. At 7:30, the train departed from Kirchzarten to Freiburg. From there we continued our journey by train to Offenburg, Karlsruhe, Schifferstadt and then Haßloch. In Haßloch, we took the bus to Holiday Park.

At 11:45 AM, we arrived at the park.

At 12 AM we were inside the park. We immediately ran to Expedition GeForce. This Intamin-Mega is one of the best steel coasters on earth and the eye-catcher in the park. However, the lines at Expedition GeForce and the other rides in the park weren't long at all!
The lines at Expedition GeForce. The length of the lines didn't change the rest of the day
After doing Expedition GeForce two times, of which one Front-Row, we went to Holly's Wilde Autofahrt. This Maurer Söhne Classic Wilde Maus is not as impressive as Expedition GeForce, but these rides are still funny to do.

Then we went to Superwirbel. This is a fairly old Vekoma Looper. Not very smooth, but the double corks were pretty cool.

Then it was time for one of the flatrides of the park. Lighthouse Tower gave a nice overview of the park.
Maarten with the Lighthouse Tower. He just built a Knex model of it.
It was quite warm in the park. The wind on Lighthouse Tower wasn't enough to cool us down, so then the water rides had to do this job.
One of the water rides. At this water ride, you get fairly wet. A nice cool down on a warm day
Time for some more Expedition GeForce! The drop, airhills and G-Forces on this beast are awesome.

After doing Expedition GeForce a couple of times, we did the other water ride. A fun ride, but didn't get as wet as on the other water ride.

Then we went to Anubis Free Fall. This Intamin droptower was fantastic!

We didn't had to miss our bus back to the train station, so there was only time for one other ride at Expedition GeForce before leaving the park. We rode Expedition GeForce six times in total, of which one Front-Row.
The 62 meter high lift of Expedition GeForce. After our last ride on this great coaster, we had to leave the park.
We left the park and after a 4 hour journey with public transport we arrived at Freiburg. From there, we were picked up and driven to the campingsite where we arrived at 10 PM.
Holiday Park is a nice park to spend your time. I am afraid the park isn't big enough to spend your entire day though. However, we were there half a day and we didn't get bored at all. The park itself is very neat. We liked how the park seems to be located in a forest with so many trees and plants surrounding you, as you can see on most of the pictures.
We hope you liked this Trip Report of Holiday Park!

It's nice to see more to the park than EGF... Seems like a nice little park with some cool thrills.
