It’s that time of the year again! Well it has been, but we got a little behind. So we're shrinking this down to a month. Nominations will run from now through December 15th. Then on the 16th, voting polls will open. You will have until December 31st to vote a winner. Results will be announced on January 1st.

During nominations, there will be topics in a special subforum where you can nominate members and coasters for a certain category. When the nominating process is over, we will take all the nominations and make polls with them. The polls will be private and determine the winner. You can only nominate one person per category! IMPORTANT: You must include the name of the coaster and the creator. Also, you CAN NOT nominate or vote for yourself. If you nominate yourself, your nomination will not be recognized. If you vote for yourself, you will be disqualified from the awards. All models that you nominate must be from this past year, unless otherwise noted. (November 1, 2011-Present)

Extra rules and notes:
Moderators and administrators can nominate and vote as well.
Any nominations from November 2011 will be accepted, unless it won an award last year. 2011 winners
Best New Member holds a different timeframe, so please check that out.
Check the Database and Forums for rides from earlier in the year and last year, don’t forget about them.
The official time of the contest is Eastern Standard Time.

Best Coaster:
The best coaster of the year. Must be a completed model.

Best SlimTrack Coaster:
These little coasters deserve love too. Nominate your favorite.

Best Other Model:
Flat rides, ball towers, and arcade games…oh my!

Favorite New Ride Design:
A new launch? New Braking system? Nominate it here.

Best Style:
Do you want to tap that model? Post the name of it.

Best Station/Theming:
Does a model have a nice look and theme to it? Tell us.

Best Automation:
Impressed with a realistic working coaster? Nominate it.

Best Final Video:
Did this video make a coaster look better? Bring it up.

Favorite Builder:
Do you think this member stands out above the rest? Post his name.

You really like us old nerds that have been here a while? Post his name!

Best New Member:
You actually might like this n00b? Nominate him! (This time frame is from October 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012. Extremely new members, you will be eligible for nomination next year)

Your favorite model from 2012.

Golden Model Award:
Runner up of Platinum Model Award (DO NOT NOMINATE!)

Superior Top Model:
(Don't nominate. This will be decided out of all the contest winners for 2012.)

Best Model of All Time:
Post the name of your most favorite model of all time, from 2002 to now!

Favorite Member:

You have to have won a contest in 2012 to win the superior top model? How about platinum or golden model?

All coaster categories are open to any coaster regardless if they've won a contest, except for the Superior Top Model. Superior Top Model is also picked by the staff and announced with the results.

For the best model it needs to be finished but, for the best themung and station must the intire ride be finished or is the station enough to nominate it?

Remember guys, these are nomination threads, not voting threads. We will vote later in the month.

Voting is where we all vote for the model/person we like best. Nominating is saying "I would like this member to be in the polls for voting!". If a member/model doesn't get nominated, they will not be in the voting.

You shout out names of people who should have a chance to win in the contest. You don't nominate yourself, only others. Then after the 15th there will be a poll to vote for those selected few who were nominated.

You can't enter yourself or your own model, others have to do that for you. Models can be entered till the 15th, so if you can manage to complete it before that and if someone else nominates it you have a chance to win.

For those who are new to the SSCAwards, there will not be any tags handed out that go along your username, however there is a good chance that there will be signature images which you may put in your signature.

Hey guys, I've had a busy weekend. Today will be the last day nominations will be accepted and voting polls will start opening tomorrow.
