As always, there will be a flat ride contest. This year, your only restriction will be a minimum capacity of 24 people/K'NEX figures/seats. You may build whatever ride you want, or come up with an entirely new ride concept. No size limitations so let your creativity run wild! This contest really leaves a lot of options open so beauty is a big factor to winning this one!

Like for all Summer Heat contests, the deadline is August 25th, 2013. An entry thread will be opened later in the summer.

If you have any questions about this contest, you can ask them here. The Staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

I shall start drawing immediately. Very interested in this, I know a perfect example of a high-capacity ride that interests me and allows me to use something that I have been thinking about for a long time.

Do Flume rides count as flat rides despite their track? Or would I have to enter it into an alternate top model or the lift thingy? Also, how many people could you fit into a log? :P

The capacity is measured per ride cycle, a logflume boat would only be able to carry a maximum of 6 children or 4 adults. So it's not possible to achieve the requirement of 24 with a logflume.

Too bad, because it's already looking spiffy, but this pretty much means a 'No'.

Still though, I've read articles about Log Fumes being the highest capacity rides in most themeparks.

Or instead of a log flume just do the very similar splashdown ride type thing like hydro at oakwood.

Don't count on it, I'll discuss this further.

Will a submission forum be posted soon? The deadline is coming up and the only day I can submit my ride is the day of submission, the 25th (because I'm at band camp for 12 hours this week and next week). I have a ride made I built just for this contest and don't want to miss the deadline / submission.

Member of a few physics experiments; Orchestrator and/or Copyist for a few musicals.
