[DKCF]

Hello SSC,

It's been 3 years since I've quietly left the forums. Some of you may remember me, some of you may not even know who I am.

After I left in May 2010, I went on a 2 year hiatus from building. In 2012, I built 3 VV coasters in my basement for my personal enjoyment. One of them, named Wahnsinn, can be viewed in a YouTube video here.

A couple days ago, I was in the mood to build a coaster, and designed a layout. The pics for the layout can be viewed below:

So far, this is just a rough idea. I plan on adding more inversions, depending on how the the final layout will be.

Earlier today, I build the lift hill and the first drop. It's not that much, but at least I built something.

I plan on taking my time on this coaster. I don't want to be quick on its construction, so it will take a few months. Any constructive criticism and advice to make the coaster better will be fine.

Until then SCC, I'm back.

Alright, I started making the sidewinder, although it looks kind of weird for it to be one.

Update:

I finished supporting the track. Now it looks stable.

I did some test runs, and a 4 car train can go through the track without problems. A 5 car train would just stall on the top of the sidewinder.

Should I keep going? I'm ready to build the barrel roll.

Very compact so far, I like it! I also like how the barrel roll goes over the first drop. Very cool so far, keep it up!!

Since the zero-g roll will take up more space that I want, I'm replacing that with a loop.

In an earlier update, I said a 4 car train works the best, while the test run video shows a 5 car train, so I will use that for the coaster now. If 5 cars start to fail again, I'll go back to 4 cars.

Ya that layout is to long and hard to complete with vv and your not using a spine too, we'll the drop looks great btw too! What's this coaster called too?

I really like how the train creeps through the first few elements, then pulls a Verbolten before dropping off the desk. Speaking of Verbolten, will you add any theming like it's bridge/drop thingy has? That would be a nice touch to the coaster, but make sure to build it with micro pieces (so it's proportional).

I'm not 100% satisfied with the loop. I feel that I need to change its shape.

Please comment. Give me any needed constructive criticism.

The only thing that I see is that it is quite tight entering the loop but the actual loop shape is very nice from the side. Others may find other things but that's all I see wrong.

The general shaping on the loop looks really good, but I think the sides could be pulled out a little. Hopefully that makes sense.

I agree with Jumpge. The two compact inversions and the drop form a nice combination and the ride has a nice flow.

Very nice use of the 'terrain' so far . Layout flows great and the shaping looks good as well.

I tried to make the shape of the loop better for my satisfaction, but I'm still having doubts about it.
