The use of colourful pieces definitely adds to the look of the tower. The structure of the tower looks great, and I like how you built three drop rides in one tower.

We've had a lot of issues with this ride since the opening of the museum. It pretty much stood still all the time, we've taken the tower home, installed a new drive mechanism. Found out that didn't work either, designed a new mechanism and can conclude that the rule of third time's a charm is in fact true. As of today all three towers are running superb!

When Apocalypse operated in K'NEX Adventure Land, the bouncing ropes on which the carriages landed, snapped after a certain amount of time, taking the respective side of the tower out of order. So when Apocalypse was taken back home after the exposition, it was decided a new landing mechanism was needed. Not until recently I installed a new landing system, and focused on making the tower easier to transport as well.

Posted Image
The top part was slightly raised and the connections of this crown to the actual tower have been improved upon.

Posted Image
Now this is crazy, but I used one of those large fluffy wheels on each of the tower's sides. Before even testing this ridiculous idea, I reinforced the carriages, especially the bottom and the connections of the wheels to the carriages. I can tell you: this works perfectly. The carriage bounces back up about a foot, just once, and then stays put on that wheel. The whole motor assembly has been redesigned and minimized, too.

Posted Image
Carriages, bounce modules and motor decorations (those yellow things in the previous picture) can easily be removed from the tower, leaving it skinny like this. Afterwards I connected a few loose snowflake connectors to one side of the tower, so it can be laid down horizontally during transport.

Posted Image
The crown of Apocalypse can also be taken from the tower and is now used as a basket to put all the separate modules in. This way nothing will get lost.

And an ingenious design keeps the crown in a decent shape and provides a floor when the crown is used as a basket.

Now it's only the electronics that need to be tidied up in a nice plastic box.

Nice fix! It was a shame to see such potential in the ride, but have it hindered by the elastic at the bottom.. Now it's all fixed!
