This thread, if it's allowed, can be used for posting about loss of loved ones, and also if you want to post to wish your condolences to someone who may have lost a loved one recently, or still suffering from a loved one passing, you may do so.

I'll start this thread with my grandpa, which was my dad's dad. Birth-Death, June 22, 1930-October 14, 2013. I'll let this article about him do the talking, if you would please read it.

Jack Ellsworth Reneker Obituary: View Jack Reneker's Obituary by The Times Reporter

Calling hours was 5-7pm on Friday, and funeral was 1pm on Saturday. I cried on Saturday. First time I cried for a long, long time. This is one of the reasons I cried. (copied from chatbox)
[20-10, 01:14] Turtle Man 24: i was gonna give my grandma $10 to try and help them out
[20-10, 01:15] Turtle Man 24: and she gave it back and said to give it to like relay for life or something else where they take donations
[20-10, 01:15] Turtle Man 24: and she hugged me, crying, and said, "Just remember grandpa"
[20-10, 01:15] Turtle Man 24: just typing that makes me cry
[20-10, 01:17] Turtle Man 24: she whispered that though
[20-10, 01:17] Turtle Man 24: i barely heard it
[20-10, 01:18] Turtle Man 24: what she said, that is
Later, my dad told me he heard about what I tried to do. He told me some things, but all them where good things. One thing that he told me is it's alright to cry for loved ones you have lost, even if someone else tells you that you shouldn't. He also told me about how he considered his dad as a hero, about him doing things others thought he couldn't. He told me about how he quit school in 8th grade to help with the family, but then later, after a couples years or so, he went back to school and graduated with honors, And said that he was the best worker that the jobs he worked for had. He said he could've even took the place over that he worked at before. Another thing, he may have drove semi-truck for more than 50 years, but he never had one accident. He got plaques for no accidents for 1 million miles. He also got one for 2 million miles and no accidents. He worked for Roadway for 30 of the more than 50 years. I'm not sure if he had any others, but I know he got them ones.
And there ended up probably at least 75, if not 100, people who ended up going to them, on Friday and Saturday. There was even some that came all the way from like Georgia, New Mexico, and other places, just to come to it here in Ohio.
Also, it rained the entire funeral, and even before it even started.
As from a saying that I heard from somewhere, it goes something like this:
"It's as if the angels in heaven are crying"

Thank you for taking you're time in reading this, if you did, god speed to my grandpa Jack Reneker, and god bless.
