Welcome to the 2014 9 Day Coaster Contest!

In this contest, you will have nine days to construct, theme (optional,) and film a roller coaster! Here are the rules:

1. Must have the ride construction thread started on or after 4/25/14 at 12AM Eastern Standard time, and completed by 5/04/14 12AM Eastern Standard Time
2. You cannot work on the coaster at all before the contest
3. The coaster(s) can be any type, and any size
4. There will be four judges, me being one of them. There can be requests for judging.
5. Must have a construction thread as proof of the coaster being built in nine days.

Theming is optional, but gives some major bonus points when judging.

If anyone wants to request to be judge, please say so on this thread.

Be sure to enter your construction threads with little work done, stating that you haven’t previously worked on it.

I'd like to be a judge. Is their going to be a point system? You make it sound like there will be. If there is, how many points will there be, and for what?

There will be a point system.
Each judge will rate each coaster something/10 for the following:
Smoothness, Pacing, Supporting, Effort, Style, and Overall Appearance. Theming will give extra points too.
Glad people are entering, it should be a lot of fun!

Looks like a lot of fun, too bad I am already working on a coaster. So, what does it take to be a judge? I know I am not the best builder, but I know quite a bit. If you give the details I would like to be a judge.

When the deadline for entries is past, all three judges will look at all of the entries. We will private message each other all of the scores for each coaster. Then we will discuss them. When a winner is decided, I will announce the coaster and builder that won.
If you would like to be one, let me know.

So the scoring will be out of 70? 10 points for each category?

^ Yes, but it is now changed to 60 because theming is optional. It was a mistake on my part. Theming will simply be "extra credit" for your final score.

I will try may hardest to make my entry work, but I will be gone from the 25th to the 28th and have track 4 of the days. I bet I can make it work though.
