We left our hotel in Hershey and we drove to Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom. After a 1.5 hour drive we arrived at the park.
Dorney Park is a neat park with a nice collection of rides. Hydra and Talon stand out above the rest, they are the park's two main attractions. Despite not being super tall or fast, both Hydra and Talon are still incredible rides. The weather was great, but also super hot. From what I remember, it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit. So after our visit to the park, we went to the waterpark.
The waterpark is definitely worth a visit as well. The park just opened three new waterslides when we were there. All three of them featured a floor that dropped from underneath your feet. Other waterslides were also really fun.
After Canada's Wonderland, Cedar Point, Kings Island and Kings Dominion, Dorney Park was the last Cedar Fair park of our trip.
After our visit to Dorney Park we drove to Hazleton, where we stayed three nights. Elijah's family was very hospitable and staying at their houses felt great after all the camping.
Elijah and I had a great time with Elijah's family in Hazleton. They teached me how to throw an American football, I beated them in table football, we played table tennis, I visited a Mexican restaurant for the first time and we did kart racing. Although we did not do the kart racing the same day as Dorney Park, the photos may still be a nice addition to this trip report.
Hydra, famous for its fantastic jojo-roll.
It was scary but super fun.
Wicked Twister in Cedar Point has two heartline rolls, Possessed has only one.
Steel Force, which is a Morgan hyper.
Talon, an intense B&M Inverted.
Unfortunately we do not have any photos of Wildwater Kingdom. However, we have some photos of the kart racing we did earlier in the trip.
Pay extra attention to the fourth name.
2014 Trip Park Count:
8. Dorney Park
2014 Trip Coaster Count and Opinion:
DORNEY PARK
57. Hydra the Revenge: The jojo-roll right after the station is fantastic. The lift is only 100 feet tall, but yet this coaster has a fairly long lay-out. A very fun ride.
58. Possessed: These type of coasters always give a short but fun ride. The launch is always a bit more powerful than you think beforehand.
59. Steel Force: This ride was way better than I expected. The hills give nice airtime and the helix is fairly intense.
60. Talon: A very intense B&M Inverted. In the pull-outs you can just feel your blood rushing down to your feet. An excellent ride with a good lay-out.
61. A very old but fun woodie. I do not remember much from the ride though.
62. Wild Mouse: A fun coaster, but there is not anything special about it.
