Im looking to buy CD kits that anyone may have sitting around....dragon or phoenix....expansion packs would be great too. My son really wants one and they of course are difficult to locate now that CD has gone, and understandably, if a different direction due to the always present "arm chair complainers." Please PM me with what you have and price.

Thank You

I think you're going to be pretty hard pressed to find one. I just saw this on ebay
Coaster Dynamix Scorpion Inverted Model | eBay

At the time of this post it has 29 bids with about a day left and it's already at $340. These have quickly become collector's items and are in high demand when they appear for sale.

Sad, what happened with the company. I'm not quite ready to sell mine yet (I don't know if I'll ever be) but now I'm going to take extra care to make sure everything is in good condition.

You could always consider starting with K'NEX ;) A heck of a lot cheaper and much more versatile :)

^I'd say this is your best bet. Micro track especially is easier to start out with and is on the same scale as CD. If your son still wants CD after working with k'nex for a while, then you can get more serious about finding a scorpion or something.

Probably a good thing that you didn't win it too. 425 dollars for a used Coaster Dynamix set is so overpriced.

I would stick with K'nex right now, as they're less expensive. And as Max said, you can do a lot more with K'nex that Coaster Dynamix.

1- Time Traveler 2- Magnum XL-200 3- The Voyage 4- Velocicoaster 5-Iron Gwazi 6- Phantom's Revenge 7- The Beast 8- The Legend 9- Tiested Timbers 10- Steel Vengeance

I agree, I thought it was way to high. I will always ask but I see the term hoarding that comes to mind. This is what it felt like when I decided to sell my 87 GN and then decided not too, thanks for I out guys. I got four used knex kits.

Out of curiosity, which style track did you get? Did you get the traditional style (Screamin Serpent/Rippin Rocket) or micro track (Vertical Vengence/Serpent Spiral etc.)

As far as the CD kit goes, it's just supply and demand. CD is obviously in short supply now, but evidently there is still a demand for it. It's a shame the company went out of business, I think they should continue making kits for a smaller audience. I personally was not an armchair complainer; I found out about CD and saved money until I could buy a scorpion. Then the phoenix came out so I bought that too. Both great kits, even better when combined. I was ready to get one of those new Scorpions, too. It is what it is, though, and I know CD has their reasons for stopping production.

End Rant.

Have fun with your k'nex and best of luck finding CD.

If you want, Hydra trains are still for sale from Dorney park. It's not a kit but it is CD. Also, if you're planning on making a trip soon, Cedar Point is selling Maverick trains for half the price they were before (now $15). I picked one up last week!
