Hi, my son is building the 6ft Ferris Wheel, but I can't buy the steel rod in Europe. Knexusergroups doesn't have it. Is there a way to use standard knex rods for it? There seems to be someone who has done that.
Or to make a steel rod myself? In Europe you can't buy the right diameter steel, and it seems to gave the knex attachments at the ends.

Any advise would be very welcome.

I would use either tan or black rigid rods. Tan is the length of a red rod and black is grey rod. So long as they are well anchored to the support arms (which is where you might need to make additions), they should hold the wheel. You should also connect them together with additional rods and orange connectors, and I would recommend finding a way to strengthen those connections as well. Good luck.
