I had to put Rogue Recon on hold for a few weeks since I'm committed to help with a Navy STEM event this Friday. I have built a coaster that will be (hopefully) themed to the Blue Angels.

This is the first and only construction update. I plan to have another post for the theming, and a final post summarizing the event itself. Enjoy.

That is an incredibly smooth coaster for it being built in under 90 minutes... that's pretty impressive. Also, forgive me for my lack of knowledge on the subject, but are the elements meant to represent aerial stunts? Especially the first element.

I'm not done building yet.

That is really impressive for being built in such a short span of time, I like it.

I love the combination of blue tubing and yellow cross ties, it works quite well for the Blue Angels theme. Usually track colors seem to be an afterthought for K'nex coasters due to the limited options available, but you've made it work for the theme here.

Disclaimer: It may have taken me a little longer than 90 minutes (though that was my original goal).

Also, the elements were not designed with anything in mind, other than the layout of the "booth" I will be in. But as an afterthought, then yes, they could be aerial maneuvers.

I have added all the theming I am going to add. Now the thing is stashed in my car awaiting the onslaught of thousands of fifth graders.

Coaster is done, and soon to be completely demolished. Here's the final video from the event:
