Can I get some "feetback"?
Just a teaser... I hope to give you a true first look a.s.a.p.
Let's hope the entire ride will be as big as the scale of the foot will be!
PS: ever wondered to check out those yellow toenails? They can be sings of some diseases...

Just when I thought I was the master of theming . . . you decide to stomp into the picture.
The foot looks pretty awesome!

I don't even want to think about how long this took. The mouth tilt track is so good. I'm really curious what you have planned for the actual ride.

The last couple of days I rushed to finish one side of the Godzilla statue. I chose its back to be straight like the track itself, so he looks quite obese from certain angles. Specifically from the side, like on this picture.

I still have a lot of (mirrored) work to do on the other side. I will most likely start with automating and testing the mechanics first and then close everything up. I will leave some easy way in for maintenance on moving parts.

Now let me show you the locking mechanism which is actually really simplistic. Things have changed a bit since I took these a month ago, but the general idea is still the same.
The train bumps into one connector on each side of the track, which will stay in the same position. These connectors are connected to more parts that are underneath Godzilla's bottom jaw.

When the jaw drops, these particular parts fall into a slot formed by two blue 3D connectors. These 3D connectors can slide back and forth on a set of rods.

This sliding is actuated by a servo motor. When the 3D connectors slide to the other position, the two connectors blocking the train, rotate out of the train's way. Down drops the train. The servo motor returns to the original position, as do all other mentioned parts.

That's insane! The tips of my fingers hurt just looking at that thing.
Also, I really want the trains to be themed to fireballs coming out of Godzilla's mouth.

Great stuff, I'll be following this!
I would consider making the eyes appear a bit smaller; usually eyes do not scale up with the animal's size.
That way I think it will appear a bit tougher.
Cheers

Yeah TheSUCKCrew does make a good point about the eyes now that it's been mentioned, though I'm not sure how the eyes could be made smaller without eliminating the center, but come to think of it, Godzilla appears to be looking up at the sky when looking down at the riders would be more effective. Another thing is the white color. I realize I'm just nitpicking at this point but it's another thing that takes away from the toughness of Godzilla here. It's a bit more like Yoshi.
