Well, since today I got my first job ever as a Ride

Operator for Batman & Robin: The Chiller at Six Flags Great Adventure, Ive

been thinking.....What should I say before launching th train? Usually the ops come up

with a funny little thing like "Launching in

5...4...3...2..Launch!.....woops!" So heres where you guys come in.

Come up with some clever sayings for me to say before launching the train!

I have one. "What's 5*151-3?" and

while their think lauch it. Moohaha Muahaha MUAHAHA!

You could say launching in 5....4.....321!

"Can

ya'll do me a favor? SCREAM!!" Then launch it.

"Please place your heads firmly against the headrests and hold on to your

lapbar. Why? Becasue you're leavin!" then launch it

and

"You will launch from 0-70 mph in 4 seconds. Go through a

tophat/ cobra roll (which ever one you're runnin') then go through a

heartline roll and up a 200 ft spike and then do it all backwards. When will you be

experiening this? NOW!" then launch it.

I say trick them. And just do a simple:

"Launching in 5, 4, 3....and then launch it on 3!

Thing you have to do for people to have a good time,

is to get them pumped up. Talk to them, find out where they are from, what they have

done, if they have rode this before. Then when talking to the train, get their hands up,

get them screaming, yelling, whatever, just get them loud. The nights when I work at

Eagle and we got energy flowing, are the best nights. We won't send out trains

till everyone has their hands up, people are screaming, and people are having a good

time. We give them challenges, such as: stay silent, scream loud, everyones hands up,

everyones hands down, wave at us, Boo loudly, etc.....

Though, keep in

mind, ALWAYS in mind, safety first, ALWAYS, no matter what. You also have to

exhibit that you are keeping safety in mind. If all guests see is a kid acting crazy and

speed-checking the restraints, they are not going to feel safe. We recently got one of

our co-workers fired because of that. He was a great guy, funny, energetic, fun to

work with, but he was not safe at all, nor was he quick. Guests did not feel safe

around him, and even complained.....

Good luck with your first time opping,

clean up well, have fun, and keep em' safe.....

Cobra Rolls, Top Hats, Twists, and turns...Right Now! (Right after "Right

now" Launch it, it will catch them by surprise.
