And then create a mirror image of the first one, the pictures are pretty self explanitory but if you have any questions just ask.

This is what it should look like

Ugh, looks like a corkscrew.

The exit to the barrel roll should be in-line with the entrance to the roll.

It's really not that smooth. ^Also what he said. Terminator has a very good heartline roll.

How is that not very smooth???

I know picture number 5 isnt smooth but that can be tooken care of by just playin around with it a little, I was in a hurry to take the pictures.

I know it is kinda like a corkscrew but has more of a resemblance to a barrel roll.

Terminator has a very good heartline roll.

He wasn't trying to make a heartline roll.
I think he did a good job, a bit could be fixed though.

All i can say is, dont use that many ties. It looks very chunky and can lead to major pumps.

^actually, no.

more ties means it's going to want to be more straight and you'll end up with more bumps. using about 3-4 ties for every flexi-rod's length will get you some of the best results.

umm, I hate to differ with you, but your wrong. Look at Jogumpies Horse of troy. I don't need to type anything else except if you use a lot of crossties, AND connectors for the flexies you will get bumps.

I recommend this one. Although you might get a better result if you use white rods instead of green ones to connect the track to the supports.

well, if you choose not to support your barrel roll at all then you'll need those cross ties, but if you are actually supporting it you'll get the bumps with too many cross ties. you're right, twisteddreams, a lot of crossties and connectors makes it bumpy.

It depends on what type of coaster your building. If your building a huge hyper, like bloodlust, you would use a lot. If you were building something compact, you wouldn't use as many. On snake eyes, I used 5 crossties on every pair of flexis except for tight parts. It also depends on turns and twisting inversions. You would want to use a lot on straight drops or vertical loops. You wouldn't want to use a lot if you were building a 0-g roll or an overbanked turn.

^RollerDude hit it on the dot.
But, In MY opinion, on this barrel roll The more cross-ties the better, also in MY opinion for every inline/barrelroll/heatline roll. Or any other "Twist" for that matter.

What do you mean by not supporting it?

Yeah, I thought coasterguy was wrong, hey! It's a first! Ugh... the barrel roll make me sick (because of jealousy).

BTW- is that center track the loopin' lizards or the origanal roller coaster?

^Loopin Lizard.
And the only time you need more than 5 supports (bottom;left;top;right;bottom) on a barrel roll is when it's a verticle one like TTD, or KK.

You can use tons of cross ties on straight parts to make them strong, but if you use a lot, lets say on a barrel roll, you should take away the flexis. As shown above. It differs basically, but that's my insight.
