Hey guys, long time no talk. Sorry lately I havn't

been able to work on any new SScoasters but I'm finally having some time to do

them. I just thought i'd let you know I'm building two new coasters. The

first coaster is built like Intamin Hypers and Gigas. I will feature a 50 degree lift 90

degree drop. Then will coast into a tophat. After dumping out of the tophat there will

be two bunnys then a banked 180 degree turn into the station. Status: Hill is done and

tophat. The coaster is about 4 feet 6 inches or so. The second coaster, yes you

guessed it. Another Launched coaster. This coaster will be a Launch into a tophat but

on the decent down it will have a 450 degree spiral. Don't think it's done

yet. it will then feature a Stengel dive then an overbanked turn into the brakes. This

coaster is about 8 1/2 feet tall. Status: completed tophat structure. I'll update

with some pictures and the names here in a few days.

Those coasters sound cool. A 450 spiral is quite a

twist! I can't wait to see pics. What method are you going to use to

launch the 2nd coaster?
You can see pics of my new rocket coaster in my sig.

I'm using the same method I always do, C02

cartridge launch. If you browse around from a long time ago, I'm sure

you'll find me explaining it.

I'm trying to do it a little different though,

because everybody seems to be sick of TTD or anything like it. So I made it a longer

coaster and will launch from the left and do the 450 degree vertical spiral.

Well I have an update, I

got the structure into place today and put some trackage on the Rocket Coaster. I

have the whole 450 degree spiral and the 90 degree done. All the tophat needs is the

pull-up and pullout to be finished. Here are some pictures I took today.

PIC #2, Also I should

change the name of the thread, due to lack of pieces I'm doing away with the

other coaster. But I am going to extend the rocket coaster. It will now stengel dive

into a 180 degree banked turn then 2 bunnys into the breaks 90 degree turn to

station.

No offence, but i dont like it. everybody on this site

has made tophats, and i havent seen one that is really good. every single tophat on this

site is poorly made. i have not seen a good twist on any of them. you should consider

redoing the twist so that is an inline twist, where the train goes in a straight line, but

twists "inside" the track like on dragster, instead of the track being in a

straight line and the train twisting around the "outside" of the track.

The reason the have to go "inside" the

track is because it has to move out slightly so the trains don't collide with the

supports.

Umm...the twists on TTD are not inline twists. Inline

twists are when the track is straight but twists (the train twists around onthe outside).

TTD and Wicked Twister have heartline twists where the car is on the inside and the

center point is the rider's heart, hence the name. I don't think all the top

hats on this site are bad. It is just hard to build supports for heartline twists. Inline

twists are much easier. Why don't you try, Raptor, to make one better before

you diss the models on this site.
