I am making a new coaster. The only problem is I

don't know what to call it, and what it will do. I have already got the lift hill in

place so it shouldn't take to long to finish. Do you guys have any suggestions on

names?

Depends on what kind of coaster it is going to be.

Will there be loops? Is it a hyper coaster? Inverted?

I agree with Westside. Tell us a little about what your

roller coaster might do. How big it is, what its going to do. Maybe try to pick a theme

for it too !

I can relate to you right now, cause i've only got the

lift and 180 degree turning section. I've decided mine will be a wooden type

coaster (meaning a lot of pieces to make the structure), and it will have 7-8

loops..wierd huh? a wooden coaster with that many loops? lol

Anyway, if

you want, try to write down on paper what you want from your roller coaster. Decide

how much space it might take up and how also, how many sets depends on your

selection of Roller coaster type... THen if you want draw it out.

I always

find the "pre-designing" quite helpful, cause then i can use all my pieces to

their full potential, meaning i won't be wasting pieces.

Anyways,,

I'm excited to hear more about your new roller coaster!
Keep us

posted !

I have Posted some Pics of the construction in the

gallery. The only thing I have is the lift hill and part of the drop. I am stilll working on

the supports so even though they look kind of sloppy I am going to be working on it.

Its an interesting drop design, but I don't think

it allows for much potential energy, or speed. It would limit you to one or two loops, if

thats the direction you'd like to go, or just a hill or two and a helix. I believe you

only have one set, so maybe and hill-loop combination would work best. But one set

too has endless potential, so maybe, like I usually do, make some simple supports and

test to see how high the first hill could be (piece together the track, form it into the

desired shape, and maybe hold it up with one hand and test the train), or how big a

cork/vertical loop you could have. Once you know it can make it through the section

with some good exit speed, maybe a medium or large question mark shaped turn

around would be cool. And as for the name, you will have to build the coaster, then

you must feel the coaster, become one with the coaster, and then appoint it its destined

name....or just pick something you like or something thats catchy. Whatever really you

think is best. You got some imagination, no doubt; try some things and show us what

you got.

I have actually got the track finished. I was up late

last night working on it. After the hill and turn it goes back through the structure to the

other side. Then it goes down into a barrel roll and then turns back into the station. It

doesn't make it all the way around the turn but that's ok to me. I still

don't know a name yet so if you have any suggestions let me know!
