Hey everyone, this is the thread for the first of many to come, POM (Park of the Month) Contest for RCT2!

As for the specifics, here they are

First POM Contest

Basically this first contest is free range, just show us what you can do as a RCT2 park designer. Just a general park is needed. There is not specific theme, so just go at it.

As people enter and submit their park I'll post their name here.

I can't get it to work. This keeps coming up.

Missing object file, ID: BALLFROG/00000000C26ED11F

Is anybody else getting this, or is my computer missing something?

Funky, not everyone has all the expansions and/or custom scenery. Please use standard scenery to keep the contest simple.

It has no expansions, but all the scenery should automatically download. Don't open RCT2 and then open the game file. What you need to do is double click the file after you extract it from the zip file.

That will open RCT2 and download all the scenery for you.

There is no point for a contest if there isn't custom scenery

Don't know if i'll get it in on time. I might be in virginia, so we'll see what happens with me.

Also, I think parks look really good with trees in the open spaces instead of nothing, so I just filled the park up with trees, you can clear them as needed, that's how I usually work

What's the exact problem you are having?

Okay, I've Unzipped it. I tried running it from from the 7-zip widow. Didn't work. (same as SN25.) Next, I converted it into a saved game file. Same problem. what else do you want me to do???????

It keeps saying this in a little red box: missing object ID:MKG-ALP1/008A180AES6DO6ED

I'm almost 100% sure on what that is

Give me a little bit to work it out, i'll let you know when it should be fixed

Well that file is a missing ride file so i'm going to upload a new zip file and then put that in there, and you'll have to copy that and paste it into the objdata file in the rct2 folder on your computer,

just read the read me file and i'll explain it all

Ok if you follow the link at the top of this thread, it will take you to the ObjData that you need

I'm sorry for this, but it's the easiest way to address this issue
It may take some time for your computer to load all the data, but you'll see that it's well worth it, hopefully you all will still want to install this data and want to compete

You know what, I'm just gonna say this. I'm not doing this contest. If you make the scenery in the next one simple and easy, and that everyone can save and open it up easily, I'm not going to participate at all.

Once again, make it easier, or you'll lose me. If anybody else is with me, speak up!

Oh, it you can make this one easier to get working, like making it all basic scenery and in one park file, then I will join in and have a blast.

I'm very disappointed.

I'm not sure why the scenary doesn't work for some of you and it does work for others.

You can't have a competition with basic scenary, because the basic scenary isn't very good at all

I'm working on fixing this file so it can be downloaded for all
