For those of you who saw Sierra Screamer, get ready

for a big twist ;) Not only will

this year's coaster have more to it, thanks to my 3rd set i just picked up recently,

but the theme will be unlike anything you could imagine at christmas time.

Introducing Evergreen Mountain Madness, a rollercoaster ride with a

thrilling twist.

This is actually something that you would see more at

Halloween, because this is more than just a rollercoaster, it's also scary and

twisted.

Before you all jump on me for doing this let me give you some

background where the idea came from

You have to be a Halloween Haunt

veteran to know this, but i think it was the first time I ever went to Knotts Halloween

Haunt that i got the idea for this. There was a ride maze called "Santa Claws

Mountain" in which they transformed the log ride into a creepy maze with evil

elves and scary music. I thought to myself, if they can take Christmas and mix it with

Halloween, why couldn't I do the opposite.

So this was long before

the Screamin Serpent came out but I had 2 LEGO monorail sets, so i created some

interesting layouts where it would go up into the tree and so on, then i started adding

different things to make it more creepy, strobe lights, howling wind, people screaming,

death metal music, and so on. For three years i went with "Alien

Encounter" and at first my family thought i was nuts, but after awhile they saw

the creativity and ingenuity of it all. The first year I had the screamin serpent coaster

was 2001, which i did some mediocre theming and called it "High Sierra

Terrortory"

So now after almost 5 years of perfecting the theming,

and 3 different models i think this year is gonna be great, as far as some stats, the lift

is almost 6 feet tall, and that's all i can say for sure now, but i'm hoping to

include a loop, corkscrew, and a helix at the end, the coaster train will run with 5 cars

and i'm completely re-designing the station from last year. As far as theming

goes, lots of different lighting effects are gonna be used i'm gonna try to create

some actual scenes in the ride, i'm gonna try to get away with using fog and this

is gonna have a whole audio soundtrack to go with it.

I'm workin on

a site right now, when it's ready to go, i will post the link with the pictures of the

lift, and hopefully the completed station. There won't be any further updates

until after Thanksgiving when we get the tree, and i start on the track layout. After

that updates should be be happening every other day or so, so you can all follow the

construction.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope you all enjoy

this as much as I am going to.

The ride sounds awesome and can't wait to see some pics. :D
