KOBOLD - A elf like thing that is apart of the
German Mythlogy, that live in the woods and play mean tricks on people walking
through the woods...
SS Man Coasters is proud to anocunce their
newest coaster - Kobold. Kolbold will feature a (roughly) 5 1/2 foot tall lift hill and
decent. The coaster will (hopefully) feature three inverstions including: (In order)
Interlocking Corkscrews ( 2 Invertions )
Barell Roll ( 1 Invertion )
SS Man Coasters is proud to say that it will be first (I think, tell me if I'm
worng) Interlockign Corkscrew featured on SS Coasters! As you may see in SS
Man's sig there is a link to my Kobold pic. This pic features a picture of the
interlocking corkscrews. KOBOLD - COming Soon!!!!
Edit: I have decided to show you a sneek preview of the interlocking
corkscrews!

I think that you have the first interlocking corkscrews
on this site. But I already saw them on Andrew's K'nex Coaster
Showcase.

Well I didn't want to come to this, but...
Kobold will no longer exsist. After the 5 foot STRAIGHT drop the train only makes
it through the first corkscrew. I can't get it through the second. After
modification after modification it still won't work! I'm sad to anounce
that Kobold will be taken down inorder to buidl another coaster which will feature a
never done before thing! You'll see soon!
P.S. I think I
may keep the Kobold name, we'll see...

Well, I do care cuz those corks looked awesome. Just
gotta ask though: have you tried WD-40 or machine oil on the axles before or yet?
You would be amazed how far the train will go compared to stock with oiled axles.
Just be careful applying. Take your time, unscrew each wheel set and use a toothpick
or needle to apply small drops inside the axle hole and reinsert the metal axle. It took
me over an hour to do four cars, so have patience. It will pay off. That irritating plastic
sound of the train will disappear after all the wheels are oiled, and it will sound just like
a real train: quiet except for the sound of moving air. Do give it a try before the track
comes down, please, if you haven't. If not, hope to see
those locks again sometime.

I have used butter, but and it helped alot, but it still
didn't make it through. If I want to add WD-40 I'd have to wait 'til
next year (like Jan 1) to do anything to it, I'll be driving to Ohio tommarrow, or I
guess that would eb today since its after 12.
