Yesterday was the band festival at Carowinds. about 10 groups showed up. anyways heres the park experince

We left my school at 8:00am and took a long ride to carowinds (they were playing realy crappy cartoon disney movies but luckily i had black hawk down on my ipod!). We got to the park about 11:15am and got everything ready and finally got in the park at about 11:45am. Fist was nighthawk. Me and a person in my group didnt want to ride it (1. because of the mixed thoughts about it and 2. cause i was scared like crap). So anyway after about a 2 1/2 hour of waiting my brother and the other people in my group finally got off.

Next we decided to hit up cyclone because the wait for votex was the same time as nighthawk. Anyways I faced my fears and rode it. It was about a 30minuite wait. I loved it it was my first looper now im like addicted to loopers. I sat in the 2nd train, 3rd car, 5th row of seats.

After that we ate lunch at jutebox diner right beside hurler. After that and about 10mins of me and my brother and 2 people in my group explaning to the other people that hurler isnt gonna fall down when you ride and its been up for so long we finally got in line for hurler. Of coruse we just gave up on trying to convince them Hurler is realy fun and safe. After about a 45 minuite wait we rode it. Its a nice ride whith alot more airtime than i remebered realy bumpy, I like it alot.

After that we went over to Top Gun, I mean Afterburn. Me and another guy didnt want to ride it after staring at it for about 10mins. So we got our plans straight that we would go to the action theater and ride cyclone agian then meet up at Vortex because we all wanted to ride it.

After about 15mins of waiting for the action theater with no distinct movement in the line, we decided to jet head to cyclone. On the way there i bought a small icee. I told the lady i wanted blue rasberry 5 time and she gave me cherry but it was good anyway.

After about a 15min wait for cyclone we got on it. we sat in the 4th car 7th row of seats in tran 2. The exact same place the other guy had sat before. We got off and rode it agian after about 15min wait. I cant remeber were we sat but i know it was in train 2 and there were muslims behind us that were screaming in arab. After that we got off and rode it agian with about a 10min wait. this time we sat in the first car. We tryed to sit in the first row but there was a 3 more train wait for the second row and a 6 more train wait for the first row, so we got the second row. It really hurt my head and pulled some nice lateral G's comeing out of the station because it was realy slow then realy fast and the chin didnt catch till about 15ft up the lift hill. I tried to convince the guy to ride hurler but he was the one afraid of woodies.

After that we decided to g check to see if the others had gotten off Afterburn so we could ride vortex. Thats when we get the message that the other people were waiting on the vortex train to ride it. So no vortex for us.

Afterwards we ate dinner at Carowinds Cafe. I wasnt hungry so all i had were some fries.

We had about 10mins left after that to get souveniers. I got a cool shirt that says "gravity defied" "carowinds" and has a picture of a guy upside down on it. I thought it was aproprite since i rode my first looper there.

At about 7:00pm we had to go get our instruments. We played and did great but we got a 1 because they changed the rules and didn't tell us that we had to play 3 songs and we only played 2.

at about 8:45pm we left the park after all of us tried to convince our band director to let us stay till 10:00pm. We got back at about 12:15am.

Ride Closings:
Thunder Road: closed for begining of the season
Goldrusher: closed for yesterday
Hurler: closed at at the beging but opened up as we were eating lunch.

Ride Malfunctions:
Vortex: Brake malfunction I think, Repair Time: about 30mins.

Didn't you say in the longest thread that there was some gay-ass poser faggot in your group? Anyway, it sounds like you had fun.

So, you rode:

Cyclone x4
Hurler

...in a 10 or so hour trip? Man, either the lines were extremely long on everything in the park, or you were hanging out a lot, 'cause I'd be hitting up every coaster I could in that time.

And Afterburn and Vortex are B&M's, so I'd say they are sort of like smoother and tamer (but larger) Carolina Cyclones. Afterburn looks nearly as good as Montu. Except I heard the lower restraints on Vortex hurt that... area...

Eating takes me like 5 minutes.

When I went with my school band to GADV, we got there at 11am. We rode El Toro and Kingda Ka by 2pm.

Rule: You DO NOT eat at theme parks. Take too much time and prices are horribly jacked up. Plus it saves time.
