You ready to ride the Fist O' Pain?

I know that this contest won't even begin for a couple weeks, but this one might take some time to get started.

Here's why:
I'm going to have someone with NoLimits make a terrain for everyone to use. It will have some type of theme to it...the person who makes it can decide for themselves.
Once the contest begins, I will upload the file with the terrain to Rapidshare and post the link to it. Also, I will annouce the coaster type and specifications for the contest. Contenders may not alter the terrain, but you can build the roller coaster on that terrain however you want.

If you are good at NoLimits and are willing to make the terrain, please PM me. I will choose, from those people, who will make the terrain and scenery, and give them more specifications.

No no. Go ahead with this. It might work. It gives people a chance to show how they can adapt to different terrain. Plus, it will be easier to vote.

By the way, I would be happy to try the terrain...

If you feel that your other idea is better, post it sometime. I'll be looking forward to hearing it if you do, but I do like this idea...

'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.'

Forget this idea.

I've decided on doing B&M compact inverts instead.

Requirements:

uses the 4-seater invert
has at least 3 inversions
max. of 30 meters high
no MCBR
2 trains 7 cars each
must fit in a 200 x 100 meter box

If you have any questions, please comment.

Let the contest begin!

EDIT: Oh yeah, Maxlaam helped me out a lot with the Requirements.

^70x70 is a bit small, 90/100 X 90/100 would be just right

Seriously, Batman: The Ride (for example) isn't that small. They had enough room to fit 2 loops and a zero-G, and that seems pretty compact...with only 100 meters to work with, I doubt you could fit more than a loop in there before making it turn around again.

I really want to stick with 100x200 meters, it just seems the most reasonable.

I measured batman the ride in google earth, it was around 180meters long, so it should be fine.

yeah, but that's shaped like a D*** and Balls, with one ball missing -.- I don't think that's compact....

Maxlaam is right. B:TR is really compact, and it takes up a fair amount of room. I would say that anything smaller than Batman would be unreasonable.

^ No terrain allowed.
^^ It depends on what program you are using.

OK I have a question that probably sounds really dumb, but what does it mean for it to be a B&M invert? How does that affect the coaster?

^ B&M stands for Bolliger and Mabillard. They are a roller coaster manufacturer. Invert means that the roller coaster is inverted, or hangs below the track.

DRAT I just spent 3 days working on my coaster's 2 zero-G rolls. Then I tried out the AHG just to see what would happen. And, of course, the zero-G's were all messed up. No problem, I still have the original copy...oh wait, I just saved over it.

I know what B&M is and what an Invert is. Are all inverts B&M
I'd like to know because I will probably enter.

^ No, there are tons of inverts that aren't made by B&M. B&M has made a ton though.
The 4-seater invert in NoLimits is a B&M Invert, so use it :)

Not exactly sure, but most designers have a different track style, and usually you can see who made them by looking at the supports.
