Well I am back, for now. Today I decided to get my k'nex out and start building again. I finally have some free time to build and the weather hasn't been to good either, so I cant ride my bike as often. Anyways I started working on a small racing wooden coaster. I am not sure how this will turn out but I am hoping it will turn out well. I plan on also putting a railing around the whole coaster and make it as realistic as possible. Still have a lot of supporting and shaping to do, just pretty much got the basic structure built so far. Sorry the pics are a little blurry but I am just using my phone right now until I get my camera fixed. Here is what I got:

By the way the trains will be getting a new custom paint job as well.

Well, The support structure is very nice, I love how didnt implement the use of yellow rods, it adds an old woodie feel. One thing I must point out, however, is the cross tie ammount. I'm not sure how many peices you have, and even lees due to the fact that it is a racer, but the drop looks quite messy because it doesnt have near the same amount as the turn.

Yeah, the drop does look sloppy. Try to add as many crossties you can afford to use. The structure looks very woodie-ie ;), so don't change much on that.

Guys don't worry about the drop, I said I was still working on the shaping and the is how I shape it. I have went back through and added more cross-ties also. I have gotten a little work done but I just wanted your guys opinion on it. I was just wondering if I should make the bottom of the drops pull out bigger. Here is what I mean.

And please note these are not the final supports.

The pull in looks good to me. Yeah, do you have a layout in mind? I was thinking the helixs like on gemini. That'd be sick.

You should definitely do a helix or two. Just make sure you have enough speed because the coaster isn't all that tall. I think you should double check on the amount of track you have because duelers use up so many pieces.

It looks cool, but I think the first hill's crest isn't sharp enough, it looks flat.

Its been a while since I updated and a few things have changed. I had to move my room around so my layout changed. I have built the station, lift hill, a cool transfer track for each and a under the station holding track. Have to finish the other transfer track though. I still have to get my camera fixed so the pics are still a little blurry because they are from my phone. Anyways, enough talk here is what I have so far.

Do the trains hit the lift at the same time?

Wow, I love it! That station is sweet, and I like the 45* turn a lot better than the full 90* turn that you had before. The transfer track is a nice touch also.

^^ it looks like he fixed it up so that the trains are staggered on the lift but hit the drop at about the same time. i think. it looks amazing and realistic. good luck, i wish i had that many pieces.

Edit: never mind, the outside track at the bottom is outside at the top.

I simply love it, it makes me want to make duelers too. That station area is also one of the most creative yet realistic things I've seen.
