Here's my tutorial (for Aminspec) to make the car actually jump a Gap!
Posted ImagePosted Image
Posted Image

Materials...
1.2-6 clear straws. Maybe try 8 that would be a long jump :)
Posted ImagePosted Image
^got them from Chipotle! They have the only clear straws I can think about..

2.A roller coaster that needs an amazing ending element

Great for stunt coasters!

Build some kind of jump with a gap in the middle. Usually best with low speed like on top of a big air hill ,or a small hill or something at the end of your coaster.
here's mine :P

How to make the clear tubing.

get your straws and crimp one end like this. if your gap will be 2 straws long only crimp one per rail if it's 3 crimp both sides of the same straw.

different view
Posted Image

Put the crimped end inside of another straw.
Posted Image

Now push them together !GENTLY! so there's a little less than an inch inside the other.
Posted Image

You can make this as long as you want but it cant be too long or they might stress under pressure and let the car off.

How to put the rails on?

I cut a small slice in both sides of the tube just like the normal tubing has ,but only like an inch long. And then you just lay it over like this on a cross tie. maybe your straws are big enough to slide right over the tubing, that would be afar better way to do it.
Posted Image

Then put the tubing over it to secure it in place. :)
Posted Image
Like so... it may mess up a bit of the straw but that's ok just so long as it wont slide out.
Posted Image

Congrats' on building a new element!

Notes...
1.Some tape over the transition from tubing to straw is a great idea.

2.Be very careful when putting the straws on the track not to crimp them it will ruin that straw.

3.Weighted cars do work. Just so long as they go over the gap with some speed.

Lets see who will use it in there coaster first! I know I will on my t****neco***** :)

They work for me.

I have to admit, that's a pretty sick idea. Nice job.

Looks pretty cool! I would love to see it in action. Could you post a video? Also, do longer trains work?

How long do you have to be a member to be out of the noob zone? Cause I think I was in it for a long time.

You're a n00b until you prove yourself as a builder or just a somewhat intelligent member.

It's fine to comment in old tutorial threads, even though his question wasn't that legitimate... if there was a video, it would be there Joshua. Just try to keep an eye out for post dates like Bowser said.

I don't think a video would add anything anyway...

So BGT is still a n00b? Strange rules here on the forum...
The only thing I ment to say to Aero was that it isn't necessary to say, even if it's true.

Btw quite going off-topic, but it just makes me mad if people are encouraging me without of any reason.

Not liking people doesn't mean you should go around and tell everyone, some things are supposed to be kept to yourself. So stop calling each other 'noobs' because you are no better if you do so.

^^Yes that is exactly what I was getting at. BGT, the administrator of this website, is a n00b. Did you even think before you said that?

^I guess we are reading a different thread because I see no evidence of people saying they don't like each other.

I made my point clear, calling people 'noobs' isn't exactly friendly so it comes down as an insult. So as I said before, not liking people should be kept for yourself.

I'd say we let this thread rest in it's grave until the next person bumps it.
