Here is what I built the night I got back from Christmas Town. Took me about 3 hours to build. It was all the rigid track screwing.

That's pretty cool. How much did you get it for? Looks really neat, and sorta realistic, but cool.

Wish the kit was a bit bigger and encompassed more of the actually ride since it is a short ride in the first place.

I agree with you, BGT. It would be better if it looked more like the ride. I also think you should get double the peices or a longer, more realistic ride for 100$. I still do think it's cool.

It's about a $45 train, and about a $30 lift system. So for $25 bucks I think it's a good bit of track.

^^Yea, that would be nice but that would make the price go up and tbh, judging by the looks of people watching it, the GP could care less.

I love reading enthusiasts' comments..... "It needs to look more like the ride"....LOL. Guys, this didn't even exist 2 months ago, it and Sheikra are the only branded models on the market, and it is infinitely more realistic than any other Griffon model I have seen. WTF? Just be happy the parks are into selling models of their rides. I swear some people have to pick everything apart. If we made it bigger and more "realistic", then everyone would complain about the price. We simply can't win. LOL.

Some people just got PWNED LOL. can somebody link me to the griffon/sheikra model in their online shop? Im going to buy one. And maybe make it more realistic just with Pheonix and the Griffon. Im not saying its not realistic enough i love it. I found out about coaster dynamix from the Alpenguist (spelling) model you have sold/given(?) To buschgardens. That got me hooked. Every time i was in the germany section of the park i would have to watch it go around its circut atleast 5 times.

Sorry to get offtopic on your thread lazor.

Hey Lazor, i have a buring question...from your first phots in the post (in Feb.) in the scorpion-type model in the background i notice you are using a phoenix station with a YELLOW colored lift spine. But the lift does not appear to be the scorpion lift. Did u use phoenix molded lift sections and paint them yellow? I don't even see a spring. How does it work?

Also, nice use of the pvc fittings. I found they work great and u can even use pex or pvc tubing for supports, great for supports taller than 12".
