I think that's freaking awesome. 301 feet is absolutely mammoth. I think the views you will get from this thing will just be unmatched from any other ride in the park worth riding...

Kings Island is getting one as well. I'm happy with this. I think CP's view will be better than KI's (and KBF's), but it's still a good ride especially with the height.

1,280 people per hour isn't bad either, compared to MF's 1,300 pph.

EDIT: Canada's Wonderland is too.

That's going to be pretty awesome, even though I was hoping for something better. The night view from the one at KBF should be sweet.

We have a mobile version at the funfair near the expo. They can't open the ride during high winds, the coaches might slam into each other. It opened this night though but it only went up about half the height of the tower. They are pretty intense and I wouldn't ride it alone. I need someone next to me so I have some distraction. Also I can get free rides here

Anyway, the arms seem to be solid, so coaches hitting eachother probably isn't going to happen. Still high winds are dangerous for a ride like this.

Am I mistaken or are there pretty high speed winds that come off the Great Lakes? If so, with what Max said, the ride might be down often. Other than that I think this ride could be really awesome with the view you would have, and for how long you would have to look.

Yesterday I was waiting for Wicked Twister and there was a lot of wind. It must get really windy up 300 feet, but I'm sure it was taken into account during the design process.

If you get a constant wind there are no problems. It does cause a problem when you get sudden jolts of high winds. This causes the seats to make strange movements causing everything to shake. You don't want your seats flying in and out. It would imbalance the tower too.

The arms only swing outwards, so it's impossible for the seats to collide.

I've been hearing quite a lot of people say that they are disappointed in these and I fail to see why. Ok, they're all named WindSeeker instead of StratoSoar. Ok, they're only 300 feet tall instead of 400 feet. Ok, four parks are adding them. I fail to see the problem. 300 feet is still pretty high up there. It isn't going to be like climbing Corkscrew's(it doesn't matter which one) lifthill. Also, adding them at four different parks is a great idea. The only park that really doesn't 'need'(I use it loosely) a new thrill ride is King's Island because of Diamondback in 2009. The ride is also a ride that will be both thrilling due to the height, but gentle enough to be enjoyed by a large audience. It's not like a robocoaster or anything. You're just spinning in a circle, only you're 300 feet up in the air. Cedar Fair would be foolish not to build these at four major parks.

I sort of wonder when Carowinds announcement will be and if it has anything to do with these? Yes there will be one because there giving clues on there facebook. (I'm thinking it's gonna be Snoopy's starlight spectacular.)
